            Gay beautician community in Burma organized first ever beauty contest with gorgeous name ‘Miss Red Ribbon Beauty Contest’ at Sedona Hotel  at the last week of previous month and contributed Kyat 10 million towards HIV victims collected from the contest.

The ceremony to observe the 45 years of passing of one of the greatest Burmese literary icon and well respected nationalist since from the early colonial time until post independence era of Burma, Thakhin Kodaw Hmaing at his last residing township, San Chaung in Kyune Chaung Monnastery with close friends and remaining family members, learnt from sources inside Burma.

            At the Swan Offering event, some aged senior contemporary politicians of his time, Burmese writers and journalists and members of opposition party, NLD were seen attending. There were also some Junta’s security persons monitoring the event, some witness told MoeMaKa.

            “Including the secret police, there are around 100 of guests at the event” he told MoeMaKa.

            “In previous years, we used to host the event at his last residence old home in this San Chaung township. But now we moved the anniversary to the monastery. Under heavy monsoon rain and winds, the ceremony finished peacefully and quietly.”

            He remarked.

Burmese Rappers in US launched hip-hop Song marking 62nd Anniversary Burma’s Martyrs Day

      Burmese Rappers group staying in LA, California, USA had recently launched a hip-hop song honoring 62nd Anniversary of Burma’s Martyrs Day through the internet. While Burmese generals were forcing the public  inside Burma to tone down the honoring ceremony of fallen independence leaders of Burma assassinated back in 1947 July 19th before the Burma’s independence, Burmese people overseas were staging protests and marking ceremony of the Martyrs Day where one of the fallen leader, Aung San was not only the founding father of Burma but also the father of current opposition leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi who is now put into prison by the Burmese regime accusing her of breaking house arrest law. MoeMaKa has taken its own liberty to upload and share this “Hip-Hop Song marking Burma’s Martyrs Day” on its server and its YouTube accout to share and distribute among the censored Burmese audience of Burma.

        Burmese underground music and activists group recently announced their hip hop song dedicated to Burma’s imprisoned opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi for her 64 birthday which was on last June 19th, previous month. It had sent and distributed out through email, social networking sites and autonomous free file sharing sites. MoeMaKa News Group has taken its own liberty to share and distribute their song to the Burmese audience from its website and its YouTube account. Burmese Judicial System in Chaos

            When the lawyers representing Ko Wai Lin and Ko Nyi Nyi Aung arrived at Insein Prison to represent their clients under detention at the prison’s court, they were told by the authorized spoke person who came out of the restricted grate that there’s no judge today so there’s no court session for them. The lawyers were never notified in advance.

On 22nd April, to support the ongoing international campaign initiated by Burmese activists at the Thai-Burma border to collect signatures demanding the Burmese junta to release all Burmese political prisoners, Burmese in North Carolina hold event to raise the awareness and asked for signatures from the local residences. It was said that 800 signatures were collected. To highlight the Burmese political struggle to the international community, 3 Burmese, Ko Kaung Htike, Ko Zaw Thein and Ko Zaw Win Tint did a performance show dressing themselves as Burmese political prisoners with shackles and chains. One monk, Ashin Egga Dhamma who was imprisoned for Monks-Boycott protest in 1990 was also present there to support the event. (Photo – Oway 8888)
