The three ministries of the NUG government have issued a joint statement calling for the release of the children and teachers who were arrested during an airstrike on a school in Tabayin Township as soon as possible without any harm
On September 18, 2022, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women, Youths and Children Affairs, and Ministry of Human Rights released a joint statement regarding the deaths and injuries caused by an airstrike on a school in Tabayin Township.
In the statement, on September 16, 2022, six children were killed and many were injured by an airstrike of the terrorist military on a self-supporting school of local residents in Lat Yat Kone village, Tabayin township, Sagaing region. It is known that, following the airstrike, ground troops of terrorist military arrested approximately 20 students and teachers who were trapped in the school, including the injured children, and sent them to Ye-U Township.
The statement also states that the targeting of schools is an inhumane and brutal war crime and is strongly condemned by the Ministry of Human Rights, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Women, Youths and Children Affairs of the National Unity Government. The arrested children and teachers need to be released without any harm. The National Unity Government has been meticulously documenting the serious human rights violations and maintaining its consistent effort to bring justice in various ways. The international community has a responsibility to support the effort to bring justice for war crimes, such as gross violations of children’s “Right to Education” and heinous targeted attacks on schools.
Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe warns all the perpetrators, the terrorist military dictators, to be ready to face the judgement of the public
On September 18, Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister of Education and Health, posted on social media.
“The terrorist military and military dictators who kill the children, carry out airstrikes on the schools, commit war crimes, and commit crimes against humanity, the people of Myanmar will never forgive you. Be prepared to face the judgement of the public for your crimes,” —the Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said.
Currently, the military council is dealing with the charges in the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and the NUG government is preparing to file a lawsuit in the International Criminal Court.
Myanmar people marched in New York as a UN Credential Campaign for the continued presence of Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun at the UN
A demonstration in support of the UN Credentials Campaign by Myanmar people in the United States to continue the presence of the incumbent Myanmar representative to the UN, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, at the UN was held at Flatiron Plaza (East 23rd St. & 5th Ave) in New York City.
At the event, Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Chin ethnic representative from NUG Washington DC, Dong Khup, U Myo Yan Naung Thein from Myanmar American Forum, and Mee Mee (Bawel) from the Generation Y Washington D.C. gave speeches, officials gave a briefing about the UN Credentials Campaign, and representatives from various organizations were present and discussed their attitude to the revolution.
In addition to the continued presence of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun at the United Nations, the march also called for the international community to support the effort to end the military dictatorship by rejecting the terrorist military regime that is openly committing atrocity crimes and crimes against humanity.
The event and march were led by the New York City Burmese Community (NYCBC) and thousands of Myanmar-born ethnic groups from various states of the United States attended and marched about two miles from Flatiron Plaza (East 23rd St. & 5th Ave), passing through the downtown of New York and to the front of the UN headquarters.
The Dictatorship Revolution and Peoples Defence Network (DRPDN) still needs more warm clothes for military use
On September 18, the Dictatorship Revolution and Peoples Defence Network (DRPDN) said, “The people have donated 140 pieces of military-use warm clothes for the front-line and back-line male and female comrades for the dictatorship eradicating revolution. We expect to provide up to 500 military-use warm clothes for our comrades. We would like to urge the people to continue supporting the expected amount of clothes in order for the comrades to withstand the cold weather and to be free from ticks, mosquitoes, and flies.”
Click2donate urges the public to click on the links provided in its Telegram Channel by a hundred thousand people every day
On September 18, Click2donate initiative said, “I would like to request about a hundred thousand people to spend 10 to 15 minutes each day and clicking on the links provided in the Telegram Channel. Read articles and click on the links on the c2d app, lattsaung app, and aungpwe ios app. It is very easy enough for 5-year-olds and grandparents to do it.”
Click2donate was also asked to stream videos on the YouTube channels of WeClick, Weclick4mm, and Raung Ni every day, once a day for mobile data users and up to five times a day for WiFi users.
The Click2donate initiative was able to send the proceeds for the month of July, which were received on August 21, to 33 revolutionary groups in total (more than 2400 lakhs).
A civilian was hit and killed when the terrorist military sneaked into Nanwingaing Village in Myaung Township and opened fire with heavy weapons
According to a local news source, the military troops entered Nanwingai Village and opened fire with heavy weapons and small arms at 4:30 a.m. on September 16.
“The junta troops, which were stationed in Kyauk Yit Village and consisted of about 50 soldiers, sneaked into Nanwingaing Village and opened fire with heavy weapons and small arms. The heavy weapons fell into the monastery compound, and a civilian was killed by shrapnel,” the local said.
Moreover, they also beat the residents trapped in the village. At present, the troop has returned to the Kyauk Yit camp
