NUG Union Minister Dr. Sasa says that the NUG government welcomes the U.S. government’s new sanctions

On November 9, Union Minister Dr. Sasa issued a statement stating that the National Unity Government welcomes the new sanctions imposed by the U.S. government.

“The NUG welcomes yet another round of sanctions imposed by the US government on the second anniversary of last general election, 8th November. The new additions to the sanctions list are one individual, Kyaw Min Oo and one entity, Sky Aviator Company Limited. Kyaw Min Oo is a major arm dealer supporting the military and his company, Sky Aviator Company Ltd. is responsible for the importation of aircraft parts for the Burmese military.” — Union Minister Dr. Sasa stated.

The Union Minister also stated, “We are grateful for the work of the US government in placing these important sanctions. We are also hopeful that further targeted sanctions will follow especially the supply of aviation fuel.”

The Union Minister stated the following about the terrorist military group in November: 

“I just want to make those who claim that ‘we ourselves gotta make our living whoever rules’ aware. When those who are constantly thinking of ways to harm the public declare their desire to rule the country, this country only has to be turned upside down.”— Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng said.

Since the military coup on February 1, 2021, the terrorist military has arrested and detained over ten thousand people and killed over two thousand.

 

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) urges ASEAN to move beyond the Five-Point Consensus

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) sent an open letter to ASEAN dated November 9, urging ASEAN to move beyond the Five-Point Consensus.

In the open letter, the NUCC said that ASEAN must establish official communications with the NUCC, NUG, and CRPH as legitimate representatives of Myanmar and also stated points for ASEAN to consider in developing new approaches for the situation in Myanmar beyond the five-point consensus.

In addition, the open letter states that the terrorist military council’s acts of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes are violations of not only the ASEAN Five-Point Consensus but also the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration and ASEAN’s aims for the establishment of a democratic community and regional security.

 

The terrorist military troops stormed Dee Doke Khin Village in Natmauk Township and abducted a young woman

The Garuda Natmauk People’s Defense Force confirmed that the terrorist military troops stormed Dee Doke Khin Village in Natmauk Township on the morning of November 10 and abducted a young woman.

It states, “Today, November 10, at around 4:00 a.m., a young woman from Dee Doke Khin Village was brutally beaten and taken away by the military council troops. More than 100 soldiers arrived in Dee Doke Khin Village, beat the villagers, and destroyed houses and shelters in the village.”

The junta troops have strengthened their forces in Magway and are attacking using ground and air operations.

 

A large-scale weapon fired indiscriminately by the junta forces on Laei Village in Pekon Township destroyed houses and injured three civilians

According to revolutionary forces in Pekon Township, the military forces fired large-scale weapons at 9:30 p.m. on November 9.

“At 9:30 p.m. on November 9, a large-scale weapon fired at Laei Village, Pekon Township, destroyed some houses,” it stated.

In addition, Daw Mu Htant, 81 years old; Daw Mu Mar Tha, 44 years old; and U Kaing, 56 years old (critically), were injured when the weapon exploded.

 

Since the military coup, the total number of people killed during the spring revolution has surpassed 2,400

According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), since the military coup and the emergence of the spring revolution, a total of 2,428 people have been killed by the military council troops, and subordinate organizations of the military council.

On November 6 at around 9:00 p.m., a heavy weapon fired by the military council troops and a group of Pyu Saw Htee (pro-military militia), stationed at Wat Poke Village, Myaing Township, Magway Division, hit and exploded on a house in Chaung-U To Village, killing 60-year-old U Kyee Sein on the spot, and his wife, Daw Sein Sint, lost her leg.
