Union Prime Minister says that it is time to eradicate the main culprits who have lost half the value of the people’s honest work and savings

Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said at the cabinet meeting held on 16 August,

“It is the time to eradicate the main culprits of situations where the people’s honest hard work and savings have automatically depreciated by half without doing anything and where it is too difficult to survive. Victory is not far away if we work hand in hand. It is our revolutionary forces who have to provide leadership so that the people can fight hand in hand.”

After the military council controlled the foreign currency, the domestic economy was in chaos, and the value of the foreign currency was high, causing the value of the local kyat to fall drastically.

Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw is committed to stand firm and work together with the Karenni revolutionary organizations that are bravely fighting against the terrorist military dictators

It is stated in the message sent by the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) on the 74th Karenni Army Day on 17 August.

The message stated as follow:

On the occasion of the 74th Karenni Army Day today, CRPH wishes that the goals of the Karenni Army, such as liberty, equality, justice, self-determination and the right to create their own destiny, can be realized as soon as possible.

Karenni has been an independent state with full self-determination since before Myanmar’s independence. After Myanmar’s independence in 1948, when the forces of Anti-Fascist People’s Freedom League (AFPFL) attacked the group led by U Bee Htu Re, and their base in Mya Le village, they fought back and were divided. After that an army was able to be reorganized on 17 August and therefore, today marked 74th years since the Karenni Army was established.

The CRPH bows and salutes to all the great Karenni leaders and revolutionary heroes who fell in revolutionary battles throughout the ages as heroes of the Union.

We are very sad for the Karenni people who lost their lives, homes, and wealth due to the inhuman killings and oppression of the terrorist fascist military after the terrorist coup.

The CRPH send this 74th Karenni Army Day message while it is committing to stand strong and work together with the Karenni revolutionary organizations, who are bravely resisting the terrorist military dictators even when they are facing various kinds of oppression, to build a new, equal, federal democratic country as soon as possible that will create a beautiful future life for the people that all ethnic groups hope for.
