Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs says that the sudden visit of the UN Special Envoy to Myanmar is being carefully watched

U Moe Zaw Oo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government said that UN Special Envoy Dr. Noeleen Heyzer’s visit to Myanmar is being carefully watched.

“This is the time to take special care not to be like giving recognition to the military regime. It also needs to learn from the fact that the ASEAN’s special envoy has visited Myanmar twice, but nothing has been achieved. We are watching her trip carefully,”

U Moe Zaw Oo said.

The United Nations released news saying that the UN special envoy for Myanmar, Noeleen Heyzer, traveled to Myanmar today.

In the press release, it is stated that, following the latest call from the Security Council for an immediate cessation of all forms of violence and unimpeded humanitarian access to all those in need, the Special Envoy will act as an impartial actor is to engage with all stakeholders in Myanmar during the trip, including requests for the immediate cessation of all forms of violence, and for the provision of humanitarian aid to those in need decided by the Security Council,

“We understand that the UN special envoy is fulfilling her duty, but I would like to say that it is not the right time for her. It is also uncertain how much it will benefit the country,”

While the international community, including ASEAN, is calling for an end to violence and the immediate release of arrested state leaders and political prisoners, the terrorist Military Council yesterday unjustly sentenced State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to an additional six years in prison.

It is said that the people of Myanmar will be able to show their love and appreciation to mother Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as well as her son Ko Htein Lin, and he will donate all the proceeds to Myanmar without taking a single penny.

Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe urges that all revolutionary forces should participate in drafting the constitution

At a revolutionary fundraising event held in August,

“Regarding the constitution, it is needed to be discussed and built altogether. Preparations to write the constitution are being made. It just needs to be all-inclusive. Everyone should come and say what they want, no one stops them. As for the federal government, no one has decided how many units will be placed and how they will be placed. All we need is to sit down and discuss.”

Minister of Human Rights strongly condemns the judiciary of the Military Council

Yesterday, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to an additional 6 years in prison for 4 corruption charges related to the Daw Khin Kyi Foundation.

From the time of the coup in 2021 to August 15, 2022, a total of (1,2027) people have been arrested, and (1,390) of them have been sentenced to prison.

 

As part of Operation Nan Htike Aung, a mine exploded at the top of Kan Phyar

– Myay Ni road near the Myeik Airport, killing one militiaman and injuring five others

Myeik Township people’s defense force (pakapha) confirmed that a mine was detonated at the top of Kan Phyar – Myay Ni road near the Myeik Airport at around 6:00 am on 16 August.

“While the armed militia group under the Terrorist Military Council that is running rampant in Myeik Township, was traveling in a car, the Myeik Township people’s defense force (pakapha) and allied force went to the top of Kan Phyar – Myay Ni road near the Myeik Airport at around 6 o’clock in the morning and carried out a mine attack as part of Operation Nan Htike Aung,”

Myeik Township people’s defense force (pakapha) said.

It is also said that one militia under the Terrorist Military Council was killed on the spot and at least five others were seriously injured due to the mine attack.

 

Sin Swei Police Outpost in Kyun Hla Township was bombed-attacked using drones

On 16 August, Taze Revolution Force (TRF) said,

“Shwebo District PDF Battalion 16 (TRF), and Squadron 3 and 4 of Kanbalu District PDF Battalion 1 joined forces and bombed-attacked the Sin Swei Police Outpost in Kyun Hla Township by using three drones early this morning.”

The military council troops are attacking in Sagaing Division with superior forces, and are also targeting civilians.

 

Citizen of Burma Award – New Zealand made honorable donations with four NUG Bonds for four fallen heroes

Our Spring Heroes announced the treasury bond purchase donations in August.

Our Spring Heroes stated,

“The Citizen of Burma Award – New Zealand presented a ‘Treasury Bond for the Spring Hero’ to help the bereaved families of four heroes”

During the battle where the people’s comrades were able to clear 6 terrorist military vehicles and over 200 terrorist soldiers, people’s heroes – Salai Maung Kee, Salai Ngi Shein Man, Salai Nan Htan Man and Salai Lain sacrificed their lives.
