Although the main roads of Sagaing Division are under control, the villages are still being set on fire
Recently, the most affected region of clashes between the military junta and PDF, attacks towards the military junta by sniping, ambushing, detonation is Sagaing Division.
In the interview with RFA, the Defense Minister of NUG said that the ambushing, bombing and detonation towards the military junta reported in the daily news were performed by the PDF and gaining control of the roads connecting various townships in Kachin State, the upper part of Sagaing Division and Magway Division can disrupt the routes for the supply of the military junta.
The military council counteracts with the uprooting operation of PDF in the villages of many townships in these regions. The houses in the villages of the townships like Taze, Yinmarbin, Kanbalu, Kani, Pale, Chaung U, Myinmu Ayadaw, Shwe Bo, Watlet, Budalin are burnt down almost everyday. Together with the arson attacks, civilians who are not related to PDF or their supporters are also being killed.
Here, what is the tactic of the military council? It may be thought of as the tactic of demolishing the main supply source of PDF. In other words, in civilian terms, it is possible that they are using destructive methods to destroy the nest and make it difficult for them to rebuild and support.
On the other hand, the PDF operating the attacks to disrupt the military junta and obtaining control of the roads with the current arms and manpower, may be considered as a tactic of attrition. If doing so, it is necessary to consider the way to protect the villages which is the main stem for PDF.
If not, at a certain period, it may become a condition for people unable to recuperate and become refugees and the armed movement could be supported only by manpower, not by money and food.
There will be an urgent need for PDF to implement the strategies and tactics with the full cooperation of each group, establishing the integrated strategy and performance. When the enemy is taking consolidated action under centralization and order, if the groups on our side are fighting separately with different ideas and goals, there may be possible change in the tide of revolution.
In conclusion, I think the key to success is that military performances need to establish the specific strategies and tactics and then do the integrated implementation under the same order.
