According to a statement released today, October 29, by the Karen National Union (KNU) Headquarters, the Karen Office of Relief and Development (KORD) has provided over 1 billion kyats (1,008,140,000 MMK) in assistance to 42 villages within Khale-Lwee Htoo District, an administrative region under KNU’s Kaw Thoo Lei-controlled territory.

In addition to these assaults, the region recently suffered from natural disasters, leaving residents in serious need of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter.
