Myanmar Military News Updates – Oct 13, 2025 Morning

🚩🚩 1. Four Soldiers Killed and Four Injured in Landmine Ambush in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw

According to the Myo Thit People’s Defense Force (PDF), a military unit of 16 junta soldiers conducting a clearance operation was ambushed by landmines near Yadanar Myay Village in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, at around 3:30 p.m. on September 15, 2025.

One soldier was killed instantly, and three others died while being transported, bringing the total death toll to four, with four more injured.

The attack was carried out by the Myo Thit PDF, which operates under Magway District, Magway Region.

The group stated that, for security reasons, the report was released at a later date.

🚩🚩 2. Fixed-Wing Drone Attacks on Ye Phyu Police Station, Ministerial Residence, and LIB-104 Base in Dawei

In Ye Phyu Township and Dawei City, Tanintharyi Region, military targets including the Ye Phyu Town Police Stationministerial residences, and Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 104 were attacked using Fixed-Wing Drones, according to a statement from the Duraka Drone Force.

On October 5 around 12:00 p.m., the Ye Phyu police station was attacked, followed by another strike at 4:30 p.m. on junta forces stationed at the ministerial residence in Dawei City. Subsequently, on October 8 at 7:00 p.m., the LIB-104 base was attacked.

The operations were jointly conducted by the Duraka Drone Team of the Democratic National Liberation Army (DNLA) and the DEF Drone Team.

Civilians were advised to exercise caution and remain alert, as military tensions remain high, and to follow all security and air defense warnings issued for their safety.

🚩🚩 3. Police Truck Attacked with Hand Grenades in Meiktila City

In Meiktila City, Mandalay Region, a police vehicle on patrol was attacked with hand grenades, reportedly killing two police officers and injuring several others, according to the SATAN UG Group.

The attack occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on October 12, near the University of Education, as a police truck was returning from its night patrol along the western side of the city. The injured were taken to Meiktila Hospital for treatment.

The SATAN UG Group stated that the police vehicle had been under surveillance for four days before the operation, and the group successfully withdrew from the area without sustaining any casualties.

🚩🚩 4. Junta Airstrike Near SSPP/SSA Camp in Kyaukme Township

The Shan State Progress Party/Shan State Army (SSPP/SSA) reported that the junta’s air force carried out a bombing raid near its base in Lway Yin Mountain, close to Taw San Village in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State.

On October 11 at 1:27 p.m., a fighter jet dropped a 250-pound bomb near the SSPP/SSA base, approximately 90 meters away from the camp, slightly damaging parts of its perimeter.

At 1:30 p.m., another 250-pound bomb was dropped near the monastery compound of Taw San Village, damaging a monastic dormitory, a kitchen facility, and a nearby civilian house.

🚩🚩 5. Airstrike on Matupi Town — One Civilian Killed and Multiple Injured

According to local reports, a junta airstrike on Matupi Town, Chin State, at around 8:00 p.m. on October 10, killed one civilian and injured at least ten others.

The regime’s aircraft dropped two 500-pound bombs targeting the area around the Fire Department Office and the football field in Laung Van Ward, Matupi Town. The air raid occurred during heavy rainfall.

One of the bombs hit a Christian church belonging to Jesus Fellowship, causing severe damage. Several nearby residential houses were also struck by bomb shrapnel, sustaining partial destruction.

🚩🚩 6. Junta Jet Fighters Bomb Lyi Kyi and Pa See Villages in Mine Lone Township — Civilian Houses Damaged

The PSLF/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army) reported that on October 12 at 5:08 p.m., a junta fighter jet dropped a 250-pound bomb near Lyi Kyi Village in Mine Lone TownshipMilitary Region No. (1), Ta’ang Region.

Shortly after, at 5:11 p.m., the regime dropped two more 250-pound bombs targeting Pa See Village, which exploded within the residential area, destroying four civilian homes.

The PSLF/TNLA condemned the junta’s ongoing indiscriminate airstrikes, which continue to endanger civilian populations and destroy property in Ta’ang areas.

🚩🚩 7. KNPDP Battalion (3) Soldier Martyred in Frontline Battle near Demoso Town

The Karenni National Peace and Development Party (KNPDP) Battalion (3) announced that one of its soldiers was killed in action at a frontline position near Demoso Town, Karenni State.

According to the statement, on October 9Comrade Jerone (aka Markho Dumickel) was killed while engaging junta forces of the Terrorist Military Commission during an intense battle on the frontline.

The battalion expressed deep sorrow over his loss and stated that Comrade Jerone will be officially honored and recorded as a martyr hero of the revolution.

At present, heavy fighting continues across the Shan–Karenni border areas, including Phe Khon and Maw Chi, as well as along the Demoso–Pruso–Bawlakhe highway, where junta forces are conducting offensives and facing strong resistance from revolutionary forces.

🚩🚩 8. Yangon Region Pa Ka Pha and Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha Units Equipped with Bulletproof Vests, Helmets, and Uniforms

According to separate announcements, the Yangon Region People’s Defense Force (Battalion 1) and the Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Force) have equipped their frontline fighters with bulletproof vests, helmets, and uniforms.

Using funds raised through the “Wear the Armor of Yangon” Campaign, the Yangon Region PDF Battalion (1) supplied 50 full sets of VESTs, bulletproof armor, and helmets to frontline combatants.

The campaign, launched to enhance the personal safety and confidence of resistance fighters, reportedly exceeded its initial fundraising target.

Similarly, on October 12, the Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha announced that it had provided 22 frontline fighters with uniforms, combat boots, helmets, belts, badges, and two MA-1 rifles.
