1. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi praises Myanmar’s youth who defend their democratic rights

In an interview with News 10 abc on December 6, Professor Sean Turnell relayed Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s message that she is proud of Myanmar’s youth.

“I remember her asking me. She also expressed how proud she was, especially of the young Burmese people. She was really proud of how the people were prepared to defend and fight for democracy, even though their exposure to democracy was very brief,” Prof. Sean Turnell told News 10 abc.

This is the message Daw Aung San Suu Kyi asked Prof. Sean Turnell to convey to everyone when she had the opportunity to meet with him.

 

2. NUG’s one-year strategic plans will be implemented successfully, regardless of the challenges

Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khing Thann stated at the Cabinet Meeting of the National Unity Government on December 6 that NUG’s one-year strategic plans will be effectively implemented, regardless of the challenges.

“As the National Unity Government, we will have to effectively implement the one-year strategic plan that we set, no matter how many difficulties there are, and we must try to fulfill the goal that this year will be the decisive year of the revolution, as intended,” the Union Prime Minister addressed.

On September 7, 2021, the National Unity Government declared the People’s Defensive War.

At present, the National Unity Government is speeding up the military and also developing and implementing the one-year strategic plan.

Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng stated on December 7 that everyone living in Myanmar is in a more dangerous place than the front line where the President of Ukraine is.

“We all are on the front line. Everyone living in Myanmar is in a more dangerous place than the front line where the President of Ukraine is. In a situation where our lives are unpredictable, lives can be lost at any time,” the Union Minister said.

Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng also stated that all citizens of Myanmar have to exercise caution because they live in an unsafe area.

 

 

4. The junta killed nearly 4,000 people and burned down the homes of nearly 40,000 households

In an interview program in December, Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe, Union Minister for Women, Youth, and Children Affairs, stated that the terrorist military killed nearly 4,000 people and burned down the homes of nearly 40,000 households.

“Our research department has recorded that the military junta has killed nearly 4,000 people and imprisoned or detained about 17,000 others. The figures indicate that the homes of roughly 40,000 households were burned down,” the Union Minister said.

The Union Minister added that there have been 182 complaints of violent acts by military personnel, including murder, rape, and arson.

 

5. Myanmar Nway-Oo University announces the start of the third batch of final year day classes

Myanmar Nway-Oo University (MNOU) declared on December 7 that the third batch of Arts and Science subjects for day classes might begin studying on the Module LMS on that day, and those without a Module account or password are asked to wait.

The study period is 3 months, from December 7, 2022, to March 6, 2022.

The semester-ending exams must be taken exclusively on the Module, and the university will keep a record of student results.

 

6. The junta troops torched Kone Tae Village in Tabayin Township and continuously marching the villages

According to reports, on December 7, terrorist military troops torched Kone Tae Village in Tabayin Township, Sagaing Division, and then continuously marching on to the nearby villages.

“Terrorists set fire to Kone Tae Village in Tabayin Township. Following that, they are advancing towards the east of Inpin Village,” Tabayin Township’s Brotherhood team affirmed.

The revolutionary forces have warned local residents of nearby villages to evacuate in advance.

 

7. A terrorist military column that had come to torch Shwe Bon Thar Village in Myaung Township was attacked, killing four soldiers

 

Myaung Special People’s Defense Force (MSPDF), Sagaing District Battalion 4, reported the following battle news on December 7:

“The mine squad comrades from Sagaing District Battalion-4 (MSPDF) used high-intensity cluster mines to attack the terrorist military column that came out of Kyauk Yit Station to torch Shwe Bon Thar Village in Myaung Township, killing two soldiers on the spot and injuring others.”

The terrorist military column that went back to Kyauk Yit Station to treat their wounded soldiers after being mined was once again ambushed by the allied revolutionary forces, killing two vanguard soldiers on the spot, according to the MSPDF.

The Myaung Special People’s Defense Force (MSPDF) of the Sagaing District Battalion-4, the Myingyan District Battalion-1, the Myingyan District Battalion-3, and the Myingyan District Battalion-4 reportedly collaborated on the attacks.

 

8. The revolutionary fundraiser “Let’s revolt while watching a movie” will be held

The MEF-Canada announced that the revolutionary fundraiser “Let’s revolt while watching a movie” will be held on December 17.

The “Starting Point” movie will be screening on December 17 and movie tickets are now on sale for 20 USD.
