At the meeting with the CRPH, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said that everyone should work together to end the revolution as soon as possible

The meeting between the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG) —Union Prime Minister, Union Ministers of Defense and Home Affairs and Immigration, and the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC)— was held on October 28.

At the meeting, the Union Prime Minister said that everyone must resolve differences of opinion and move forward together in fighting against a very cruel dictator; the National Unity Government is acting as a revolutionary government and is working vigorously in coordination with all the forces of the revolution; it is difficult to make the revolution successful without the help of the people’s representatives; and everyone should support each other and work together to end the revolution as soon as possible.

Then, U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairman of the CRPH, clarified the purpose of the meeting.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration presented the annual report on behalf of the Interim Local Administration Central Committee, explaining the status of completion, challenges, and activities to be carried out, as well as the committee’s structure, policies, work manual, and mechanism operation, and the attending CRPH members exchanged their views.

The Union Prime Minister, Chairman, secretaries and members of the CRPH, Union Ministers of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, and members of the ILACC attended the meeting.

 

New Zealand will support the peaceful progress towards a new democratic future for Myanmar

On October 30, the NUG Ministry of Foreign Affairs released information about a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand.

It is stated, “The meeting of The Hon Zin Mar Aung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government of Myanmar and The Hon Nanaia Mahuta, Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand was held online on October 20.”

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Tun Aung Shwe, NUG’s Representative in Australia.

The Hon Nanaia Mahuta, Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, tweeted that she was glad to learn of the perspectives of the National Unity Government (NUG) and that New Zealand would provide support for peaceful pathways to a sustainable democratic future for Myanmar.

 

The Deputy Minister of Education said that the NUG government’s Ministry of Education has agreed to implement the age-based class system of Basic Education Completion Assessment (BECA)

Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun told Radio NUG on October 29 that the NUG government’s Ministry of Education has agreed to implement the age-based class system of Basic Education Complication Assessment (BECA).

“From the traditional education system in which teaching is focused only on examination purposes, we have started to change the teaching style that gives priority to creative thinking. So, the students can learn in NUG schools as well as at home. Another change is that we have already agreed to implement the system of assigning classes according to age. So don’t worry about being late for class because you don’t go to school.” —Deputy Minister Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun said.

The deputy minister also urged the students’ parents to continue participating by boycotting the military junta-run schools for the next academic year.

“We need to continue to revolutionize them. We need to continue to work together to make our revolution successful.” —Deputy Minister Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun added.

 

Junta’s police station in Ngathayauk area was attacked yesterday evening and the chief police officer and 11 policemen were all killed and their weapons were taken

It is reported that a battle took place at the junta’s police station in the area of Ngathayauk town, Nyaung Oo District, Mandalay Division yesterday evening, and the chief police officer and 11 policemen were all killed and their weapons were taken.

The local news sources confirmed that revolutionary comrades raided and seized the police station in Ward No. 2 of Ngathayauk, Nyaung Oo District, Mandalay Division, on the evening of October 29.

“The whole station fell,” said a local.

On October 30, the TTA-Guerilla Army, Squadron-2 of the Battalion-3 of the People’s Defense Force of the MOD-NUG, confirmed that the deputy leader of the TTA-guerrilla army was killed in the camp capture battle.

It states, “Company Commander and Deputy Leader of TTA-Guerrilla Army Maung Wai Phyo (aka Win Ko Shein), 21, a first-year student of the State Agriculture Institute (S.A.l.)-Pathein Gyi, had fallen honorably.”

“Monywa squadron, which is the Squadron-1 of the Battalion-6 of the Myanmar Royal Dragon Army (MRDA) and its ally, Nway Oo Thitsar Guerrilla Force, together attacked the ambushed military council soldiers with a hand grenade and two bombs today at 1:19 AM on U Mya Aye Road, at the corner of Bo Tayza Road and Patauk Road in the industrial zone, north of Kanpyalay Village,” it stated.

It is said that four of the soldiers who were attacked were lying on the ground and only two were screaming.

 

Thousands of people held a global Myanmar student strike in New York, USA

It is reported that a global Myanmar student strike was led by the New York City Burmese Community (NYCBC) on October 29, in accordance with GMSR’s plans.

The Global Student Strike in Times Square was attended by Generation Z students who are currently studying at universities and colleges in the United States. They protested against the military bombings, killings, arrests, and torture of Myanmar students while studying.

The event was also attended by political activists from Ukraine and Iran, as well as Myanmar ethnic groups.

At the protest event, Arthur Zgurov, who is a Ukrainian activist in New York, Ukrainian ex-soldiers Anton and Victor, Iranian activists Masih Alinejad and Sepideh Moafi, and Ethiopian student Saba Desta said that they stand together with Myanmar students and the Myanmar Spring Revolution.

The event is held back-to-back with a program of mourning and prayer for more than 80 innocent people who were killed in a recent air attack by the junta military’s inhuman brutality at a music concert held with a large crowd in Hpakant, Kachin State.

Along with Myanmar ethnic group, about 1,500 people of Ukraine and Iran participated in the global student strike held in Time Square from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. New York time.
