NUG designates Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s house, residence No.54, as an interim natural heritage site, and selling and destroying it will be taken actions under the Cultural Heritage Protection Law 2019 and the Counter-Terrorism Law

On September 2, the President Office of the National Unity Government released an Announcement (15/2022) that announced its designation of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s house, residence No. 54, as an interim natural heritage site.

The 1.923-acre residential property, located at No. 54-56 University Avenue Road, Bahan Township, Yangon, and associated buildings have been designated as interim natural heritage sites, in accordance with then section 5 of the Interim Heritage Standards identified by the Interim Board for Heritage Administration, and Section 2 (a) and (b) of the Cultural Heritage Protection Law 2019, according to the approval of the Cabinet Meeting No.65 of the National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The announcement states that it is strictly prohibited for anyone attempt to take possession of the site and building, or attempts to sell, destroy, modify, renovate, or utilize the site in any other way.

The announcement also states that, subject to the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Protection Law 2019, the Transfer of Immovable Property Restriction Law 1987, and the Counter-Terrorism Law, whoever violate the above prohibitions is guilty of a criminal offense and persons or institutions which fail to comply with the prohibitions therein stated will be blacklisted and will face criminal persecution.

 

The Union Prime Minister says that as the number of controlled territories increases, the need for financing will also increase

At the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) Meeting (27/2022) held on September 1, the Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann remarked, “As we have to prepare to defense, it is not easy to manage in the controlled areas; Ground requirements can be seen from the bi-weekly presentations of the ministries; and As the number of controlled territories increases, the needs for funds will also increase.”

Currently, the NUG government controls and governs the territories in 36 townships in Sagaing and Magway Divisions, and is implementing the education and health care support activities.

The military council can only rule Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw and some major cities, and the military is suffering substantial losses in Sagaing, Magway, Chin State and Karenni Region, Karen State and Rakhine State.

U Lwin Ko Latt, Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, urges the whole country to shout in unison to let the world know that the “real ambassador of the people is U Kyaw Moe Tun”

On September 2, U Lwin Ko Latt, Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, said, “Just as the ambassador fulfilled his duties as a diplomat politely and showed his courage boldly, let us people raise our flags to let the world know. To defend the real ambassador of the people in the United Nations arena, just like defending the championship, like Ko Min Ko Naing said, let the whole country shout in unison that the real ambassador of the people is U Kyaw Moe Tun.”

Public campaigns will be held around the world to appeal to the United Nations for the continued appointment of incumbent UN ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun.

 

Defense Minister U Yee Mon says. that the spring revolution would definitely be successful

Minister of Defense said at the public question-and-answer program held on the evening of September 1.

“It can be said that this revolution will surely succeed. Why can I say this? We have all the necessary foundations to win the revolution. There is already a new PDF army. There is already a united alliance. In particular, the people’s support for this revolution, we can say that this is very important.”

On September 7, 2021, the National Unity Government announced the start of the People’s Resistance War.

Currently, there are about 250 PDF battalions that have registered with the Ministry of Defense (MOD) and township-based local defense forces (pakapha) have been established across over 250 townships, as part of a broader network, including 401 urban guerrilla groups and local defense groups.

 

The NUG Minister of Human Rights met with Mr. Eamon Gilmore, EU Special Representative for Human Rights

On September 2, the Union Minister of Human Rights informed, “I met with the European Union’s Special Representative for Human Rights, Mr. Eamon Gilmore, and urged him to work towards more effective resolutions at the UN Human Rights Council and the General Assembly.”

At the Forum 2000 being held in the Czech Republic, the Minister of Human Rights presented and discussed the issues of Myanmar.

 

The position of the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations is important because the voices of the people of Myanmar can be known internationally through this position

Minister of Defense said at the public question-and-answer program held on the evening of September 1.

“The representative to the United Nations is important. Because it is through this UN platform that the voice and will of the people can be known to the international community. Because of this, the people have started campaigns to make the international community aware of it. I thank the people for this,” the ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said.

The 77th General Assembly of the United Nations will be held on the afternoon of September 13, and on the same day, the ambassador representing Myanmar will be confirmed.

 

U Min Ko Naing says that the more the revolution speeds up, the more territorial dominance will be gained, and the military council is already shuddering

On September 2, U Min Ko Naing, the 88 Generation student leader,  posted on social media, “The more the revolution speeds up, the more territorial dominance it gains, and the more the military council becomes shiver. Non-CDM civil servants serving it have deserted it in many towns and cities. On the other hand, it also has to be admitted that the government machinery is also no longer working because of the CDM staff. Because its soldiers were trembling, the phrase “Don’t be afraid of the drone. Ah.. Don’t be not afraid too.” was coming out of them. To strike down the plan of the military council, which is losing its head, to steal the UN ambassador position, I urge people to make it clear.”

At present, in Kawlin, Katha, and Kanbalu areas of Sagaing, the NUG government is implementing public administration projects as well as law enforcement, education, and health projects under the title of three-K Plan.

 

The military council troops are forming two columns in Myaung Township, Sagaing Division and burn down a school in Kinn Village

On September 2, a local defense force in Myaung Township, namely Myaung Union Army, confirmed, “Military council troops are entering Myaung Township in two columns. This morning, the military column that came out of Kyauk Yit Village burned down the school in Kinn Village. Another column is still in Myit Tha Village.”

It is said that the two columns had about one hundred and fifty soldiers and come to enforce the area.

The military council troops are targeting and killing civilians and burning the houses mostly in the villages of Sagaing Division.

 

The Kani Guerrilla Force successfully produces the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG)

On September 2, the Kani Guerrilla Force (KGF) announced, “Even though the sounds of the automatic rifle are not making noise yet, we will fight the revolution with unceasing zeal. We will innovate as much as we can, and we will fight with unceasing zeal. If there is a battle, there must be a victory. One day we have to reach our desired goal. This is a homemade RPG that was successfully produced by the intelligence of our KGF comrades.”

The Kani Guerrilla Force is also a force fighting against the military dictatorship.

 

Yesagyo PDF (pakapha) is equipping ward and village people’s defense forces (pakapha) with homemade barrel shotguns

On September 2, the People Defense Force Yesagyo (pakapha) reported, “In order to focus on the area enforcement activities in the township while resisting the military, People Defense Force Yesagyo is working to form ward and village people’s defense forces. We are producing barrel shotguns for area security and the public, and equipping ward and village people’s defense forces (pakapha).”

People Defense Force Yesagyo requested people to continue donating funds since the defense work will be carried out at a high speed in an orderly manner.

 

The People’s Knight Defense Force Myinmu (PKDF-MMU) has started to form a drone force

On September 2, a local defense force in Sagaing Diision, namely People’s Knight Defense Force Myinmu (PKDF-MMU), announced, “In order to eradicate the military dictatorship and speed up the establishment of a democratic federal union, we would like to inform the public that on September 2, 2022, our People’s Knight Defense Force Myinmu (PKDF-MMU) has started to form a drone force.”

PKDF-MMU also stated that it would like to express its special thanks to the public for their support for the formation of the drone force.
