Burmese Ethnics in Oakland, bay area held memorial service

As the sign of “8” which represented the democratic struggle of Burma back in 8th of August 1988 (8/8/88), total number of 8 monks was invited to honor the memorial service in Burmese traditional religious process involving “swan” offering to the monks and praying for the better lives of fallen Burmese people of that time in the struggle.

The “Dhamma Ayeyeik” Burmese monastery was setup and open with volunteer service, labor and charity of the Burmese ethnics’ community from the Oakland.
