One and only Burmese performance troupe founded by jailed artist-cum-activist, Zarganar, famed for their outspokenness and open criticism on the oppression of Burmese military regime in their stage performance had arrived San Francisco for the first time and appeared on the theatre at Chabot College for the Burmese audience at the bay area. It was learnt that not only Burmese from the bay area but also from surrounding towns and cities such as from LA and Santa Rosa came to see their performance with the estimated audience around 700.
As usual, they had presented jokes and satires reflecting the current political situation of Burma under the regime. Further more, one of the performer-joker, “Pan Thee”, (Apple in Burmese) sang a standup song making joke on unsuccessful UN trip of Mr. Gambari.
