First of all: - AA Commander-in-Chief instructs troops to fight with the conviction that the remaining decisive battles must be won and completed before the end of this year and before the end of 2027
m.CDM, April 11
Arakan Army (AA) Commander-in-Chief Major General Tun Myat Naing has ordered troops to fight with the conviction that the remaining decisive battles must be concluded in victory before the end of 2026 and before the end of 2027.
This instruction was included in a message sent by Major General Tun Myat Naing for the 17th Arakan Army Day ceremony, which fell on April 10.
He urged troops to continue fighting to the end so that none of the sacrifices already made would be in vain, and to fight with the conviction and determination that they must win and will win.
He ordered that efforts continue with the belief that the remaining decisive battles can be brought to a victorious conclusion before the end of 2026 and 2027. However, as an exception, he also said that even if the conflict is not finished within that period, they will continue fighting until the end.
In the message, the AA Commander-in-Chief stated that because the Arakan Army and the Arakan people have fought and struggled for 17 years, they have now been able to control most of Arakan territory to a certain extent.
He said this is a national movement in which the entire Arakan people have awakened and actively participated over the 242 years since Arakan lost its sovereignty in 1784, and that it is also a just war encompassing all sections of the public under the strong leadership of the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA).
At the same time, he also instructed that they should, as much as possible, join hands with and support fellow oppressed revolutionary allies with sympathy, understanding, and goodwill, and fight together alongside them.

LLSBF also warned the public to be especially cautious during the New Year Thingyan period, since fighting could break out anytime and anywhere.
Similarly, the Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA) reportedly carried out a drone attack on a checkpoint belonging to the junta artillery battalion (Artillery Battalion 318) near Abit village in Mudon Township, Mon State.
According to RMA’s initial statement, the drone unit dropped two bombs at around 5:20 p.m. on April 9, injuring 4 junta personnel.

m.CDM, April 11
Revolutionary joint forces attacked Konegyi Pyu Saw Htee village in Chauk Township, Magway Region, with heavy and small arms, killing 3 Pyu Saw Htee members and seizing 2 guns, according to Magway District Battalion 3.
The announcement said that at around 5:00 a.m. on April 9, Magway District Battalion 3 CRA and Battalion 1 jointly attacked Konegyi village using drone bombs, heavy weapons, and small arms.
Because revolutionary advance forces had already managed to take positions inside the village before the clash, they were able to shoot and kill 3 patrolling Pyu Saw Htee members at close range. They also reportedly seized an enemy forward guard point in front of a foothold camp located to the south of the village.
In the nearly two-hour battle, 3 Pyu Saw Htee members from Konegyi village were killed on the spot, and the 2 guns they were carrying were seized. One revolutionary fighter was wounded by gunfire.
The statement added that although revolutionary forces were able to enter and raid the village and thus gained a military advantage, they later withdrew in order to avoid harming civilians who were mixed in with the remaining Pyu Saw Htee members while pursuing them.
At present, battalions and units under the command of the Magway District military command are reportedly accelerating operations together with revolutionary forces to uproot the dictatorship.
⸻ - In Gangaw, one junta soldier defects with full weapons; junta reinforces with newly trained drone troops
m.CDM, April 11, 2026
One junta soldier from Light Infantry Battalion 50 based in Gangaw Township, Magway Region, defected with weapons and ammunition, according to Yaw Alin Tan.
The defector was a deputy sergeant from LIB 50 and was said to be from a column commander’s group under Division 99 that had recently arrived at LIB 50.
He fled on the afternoon of April 10 while on duty at a sentry outpost near Aung Myin (Shaukpin) village, bringing with him one MA-3 rifle, more than 180 rounds of ammunition, and 4 hand grenades.
The Aung Myin sentry outpost where he had been stationed had reportedly been occupied by junta forces since March 2025, and troop rotations there take place once a month.
On the other hand, it was also reported that at noon on April 9, a Mi-17 helicopter landed at Artillery Battalion 371 based in Gangaw and delivered 7 junta troops who had completed advanced drone training as reinforcements.
They are said to be sent onward to LIB 50 in Gangaw. At present, phone use inside LIB 50 has reportedly been banned and permission to leave the base has also been restricted.
Therefore, local residents and revolutionary forces in Gangaw Township have been warned to remain particularly alert to the dangers of junta airstrikes and artillery fire.
⸻ - After Hpakant strategic hill was attacked by drone, military launched airstrikes; revolutionary forces mount major offensives on two junta bases in Bilin
m.CDM, April 11, 2026
A junta strategic hill position in Hpakant, Kachin State, was attacked by KIA allied forces using drones, causing significant damage, and the military is now retaliating with airstrikes and artillery fire, according to local sources.
At noon on April 11, KIA and KPDF forces reportedly dropped bombs by drone on the Hpakant strategic hill, with explosions striking trenches inside the position and causing casualties.
About half an hour after the attack, junta forces responded with airstrikes, dropping bombs on Hmawsi Khtaung ward, the garbage dump village, and the cemetery hill area.
In addition, since the morning of April 11, intense fighting has reportedly continued in the Hmawsi Khtaung ward and Prayer Hill areas, with the military firing artillery continuously.
In recent days, junta airstrikes and artillery shelling in the Hpakant area had already injured about 6 civilians, including children, and damaged homes.
Similarly, in Bilin Township, Mon State, revolutionary joint forces are reportedly launching fierce assaults on the junta’s Laykay strategic base and Wintarpan military camp.
These base seizure battles reportedly began on April 7 in the territory of KNU Brigade 1, Battalion 1, and are being carried out jointly by the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), Strategy 27 joint columns, special regional military units, and the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF).
It is believed that there had already been leaks before the battles began. Around the Full Moon Day of Tagu, the junta reportedly dropped around 40 bombs on nearby villages.
At present, the junta is reinforcing its troops and resisting with air support, making the fighting extremely intense, while phone lines in the area have reportedly been cut off.

m.CDM, April 11, 2026

Locals reportedly discovered the bodies of the 3 victims buried beneath piles of cow dung near a monastery to the north of Chaungkan village.
These civilians had reportedly been seized as human shields during a junta military operation that entered and raided Alebon village, Yoe village, and Chaungkan village in Pale Township during March.

⸻ - Myanmar’s UN ambassador urges all member states to cut off the flow of weapons, jet fuel, dual-use goods, and technologies to the terrorist military group
m.CDM, April 11
Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, strongly urged all member states that if the lives of Myanmar’s people are to be saved, it is essential to cut off the flow of weapons, jet fuel, dual-use civilian-military goods, and technologies to the terrorist military group.
The UN Disarmament Commission meeting has been taking place at UN Headquarters in New York from April 6 to April 24, and during the general exchange of views held in that period, representatives from more than 60 UN member states, including Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, delivered speeches.
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said that even a single use of nuclear weapons, whether accidental, unintended, or deliberate, would have devastating humanitarian and environmental consequences, and that the only guarantee against the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is their total elimination.
He also said that new technologies, including artificial intelligence, are like a double-edged sword, offering great opportunities while also bringing complex challenges.
Myanmar is concerned about the misuse of dual-use goods and technologies that can be used for both civilian and military purposes. The ambassador pointed out that these items and technologies can easily be diverted into powerful weapons used to harm civilians and commit human rights violations.
He further explained to meeting participants that since the illegal coup, the terrorist military group has used artificial intelligence technology to surveil the public, spread disinformation and propaganda, build a system of digital authoritarianism using information and communication technologies, and weaponize paramotors and jet fuel for aerial bombings against civilians.
⸻ - Call not to recognize war criminal Min Aung Hlaing as President of the State
m.CDM, April 11, 2026
Revolutionary forces have urged that the coup leader and criminal who arrested and imprisoned the country’s leaders and then took an oath as “President of the State” through a sham election should not be recognized as the President of Myanmar.
They pointed out that the sham election held between December 2025 and January 2026 had absolutely no legitimacy, and was conducted solely to prolong Min Aung Hlaing’s grip on power, secure impunity, and gain international recognition.
Through that fake electoral process, war criminals reportedly shed their military uniforms and took seats in parliament in civilian clothes.
At present, the sanctioned Min Aung Hlaing is facing international legal proceedings for crimes against humanity, war crimes, and genocide committed against the people of Myanmar.
For the Rohingya genocide, a court in Argentina has reportedly issued an arrest warrant for him, and he is also still under investigation in cases under universal jurisdiction in regional countries including Timor-Leste and Indonesia.
Therefore, they warned that recognizing a person wanted for genocide as president would amount to endorsing the crimes he committed.
They added that such an act would have serious moral and reputational consequences, and would only embolden a military that has committed brutal atrocities against ethnic minorities for decades.
Accordingly, they strongly called on the international community and world leaders to firmly reject any form of recognition of Min Aung Hlaing as the legitimate “President” of Myanmar.
