m.CDM, March 26, 2026
It has been reported that on March 25 at around 5:11 p.m., junta forces bombed a location sheltering war-displaced civilians in the eastern part of Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region, using a jet fighter that took off from Tada-U Air Base.
As a result of the bombing, 5 displaced civilians were killed, including 1 pregnant woman, and 2 others were injured. A large number of homes were also destroyed.
Similarly, in Katha Township, at around 11 p.m. on March 25, junta forces reportedly dropped bombs from a jet fighter on the Kyauk Htone Gyi village station hospital, damaging the hospital buildings.
Fighting has intensified in Katha since March 20. Following the bombing of a monastery in which around 80 civilians and monks were killed, residents have remained trapped in the town, and monks have also been fleeing toward Mandalay.
On the evening of March 25, one of three military helicopters delivering supplies to Light Infantry Battalion 309 in Katha was reportedly fired upon by allied PDF forces, forcing it to make an emergency landing in the Nga Oh football ground in Mabein Township.
In Magway Region, in the Yaw area, Kazun Htaunt village (Ywar Thit) in Htilin Township was also hit by an unprovoked airstrike on March 26 at 1:17 p.m., when junta forces dropped two 300-pound bombs from a jet fighter.
As a result of the explosions, one elderly man was injured in the thigh and one woman was injured in the upper arm, while 5 houses were burned down and destroyed. In addition, 1 cow and 3 pigs were killed.
In Karen State, in Hpa-An Township, within the KNU Doo Tha Htoo District-controlled area, Ban Bwe Kone village tract, KNU stated that on March 19, Infantry Battalion 202 under Division 22, based in Taung Kalay, fired artillery indiscriminately twice into Htone Taung village, with the shells exploding in fields and forest areas.
⸻ - A Kareni court issues an arrest warrant for Naypyitaw South PDF intelligence officer Bo Dhu Wan for assaulting and threatening a civilian woman
m.CDM, March 26, 2026
A township court in Karenni State issued an arrest warrant on March 26 for Naypyitaw PDF military intelligence officer Bo Dhu Wan, who is being prosecuted for assaulting and threatening a civilian woman with a gun, after he failed to appear in court.
The complaint stems from an incident on the night of November 8, 2025, at around 9 p.m., when Bo Dhu Wan and his wife were involved in an argument, during which he allegedly assaulted and threatened with a gun Ma Thandar Aung, a friend of his wife.
The victim, Ma Thandar Aung, filed charges against Bo Dhu Wan at the Karenni State Police (KSP) under Sections 294, 323, and 506 of the Penal Code, and the case began being heard in the Karenni civil court on January 12.
During the hearings, Bo Dhu Wan appeared only for the first court date and requested leave for the following five hearings. He then failed to appear without permission for the seventh hearing on March 26, prompting the court to issue the arrest warrant.
Another hearing has been scheduled for April 7. If Bo Dhu Wan does not appear to address the case, action will be taken against him as a fugitive.
At the beginning of the case, Bo Dhu Wan’s wife filed a countersuit against Ma Thandar Aung under Sections 294, 506, and 500 at KSP Station No. 9, but the court later dismissed that case because she failed to appear at hearings.
⸻ - Near Mann Chaung Dam in Ngape Township, CDF-Asho and NSA attacked a junta column, killing 20 soldiers
m.CDM, March 26, 2026
The Chin Defense Force-Asho (CDF-Asho) announced that revolutionary allied forces attacked a terrorist military column advancing toward Mann Chaung (Kyaung Nwar Thoe) Dam in Ngape Township, Magway Region.
On March 25 at 12:05 a.m., a junta column of more than 50 troops stationed at Taw Ya Monastery west of Ngape began moving toward Mann Chaung Dam.
As the column advanced, junta troops temporarily stationed about 900 meters east of the spillway of Mann Chaung Dam were attacked in a joint offensive by CDF-Asho and the New Society Army (NSA).
According to gathered information, 20 junta soldiers were killed and at least 5 others were injured in the fighting.

m.CDM, March 26
People’s Defense Forces involved in the battle announced on March 26 that they had attacked a military convoy carrying terrorist junta soldiers at a location on the Union Highway in Chauk Township, Magway Region, killing 4 officers and 6 soldiers.
The statement said the attack took place at 8 a.m. on March 16 at a location on Section No. 3 of the Union Highway in Chauk Township.
In addition, on the same day, the terrorist police station in Gwe Chyo area was attacked with four drone-dropped bombs, and a reinforcement convoy was also attacked with two drone-dropped bombs.
The statement said that the allied People’s Defense groups suffered no casualties in the battles, which were carried out jointly by five allied township-, district-, and regional-level Pa Ka Pha groups.
The attacks were jointly carried out by Chauk Pa Ka Pha, Magway District People’s Defense Force, Chauk Township Pa Ka Pha armed wing Chauk Guerrilla Force, Magway Region Pa Ka Pha mobile column Yenather Column, Magway District Pa Ka Pha Battalion 1 Alaungpaya Urban Guerrilla Force, Magway District Pa Ka Pha Battalion 5 Chauk Special Attack Force, and Magway District Pa Ka Pha Battalion 6 Thakin Pho Hla Gyi group.

⸻ - Magway Air Base attacked with 11 rounds of 107 mm short-range rockets
m.CDM, March 26, 2026
Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM) announced that Magway Air Base, used by the junta to carry out airstrikes in Upper Myanmar, was attacked with 11 rounds of 107 mm short-range rockets.
The attack took place at 11:20 p.m. on March 25 as BWM Mission 53, carried out jointly with No More Dictatorship (NMD-PDF), Infinity (Anyar), Justice Brothers Force, Daung Sit Aung group, and Myaing Pa Ka Pha.
According to the statement, Magway Air Base is one of the junta’s main bases for suppressing revolutionary forces in the Anyar region. It is also a key site where aircraft bombs produced by KaPaSa 21 are stored and redistributed to other air bases, which is why it was targeted.
Local residents confirmed that explosions occurred inside the air base shortly after it was struck, and that ambulances were seen entering and leaving around midnight.
Although the bombs stored inside the air force compound did not explode from a direct hit, the statement said they had become unstable, making them dangerous to load onto aircraft, and that the junta’s special team was planning further inspections.
BWM and its allied groups also said that, at a time when the junta air force is already struggling with fuel shortages, efforts will be intensified from all sides to further weaken it, and that they will take advantage of this pressure on the air force to accelerate the revolution.
⸻ - National Liberation Army (NLA) transforms into a People’s Defense Force (PDF) battalion

At the ceremony marking its acceptance of command, participants saluted the NUG People’s Defense Force flag and were presented with PDF insignia, according to statements from the NUG Ministry of Defense and Military Region No. 1.
The NLA first fought under the name Myanmar Federal Army (MFA) on August 23, 2021, and was reorganized as the National Liberation Army (NLA) on March 5, 2023. It is now continuing the fight as a PDF battalion.
The NUG Ministry of Defense also invited local defense forces not yet under command to either serve under the command structure or coordinate militarily with battalions and units already under it.
⸻ - Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun says deforestation caused by the terrorist military group and cronies engaged in illegal logging has already led to the degradation and destruction of farmland
m.CDM, March 26
Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, said that due to the terrorist military group and cronies who have carried out illegal logging for decades, deforestation has now reached the point of degrading and destroying agricultural land.
He made the remarks during the general discussion under the theme “Forests and Economy” at a ceremony commemorating the International Day of Forests at the United Nations.
He noted that forest resources currently cover more than 42 percent of Myanmar’s total land area, whereas in the past forest cover exceeded 70 percent.
He also explained to participants that the terrorist military group is not only driving deforestation and the illegal extraction of the country’s natural resources, but is also continuing to deliberately burn and destroy villages, farmlands, orchards, and crops in areas where civilians live.
As a result, he said, Myanmar’s forestry sector is facing a major challenge, with conditions worsening from deforestation to the degradation and destruction of agricultural land.
He pointed out that this situation stems from decades of overexploitation of natural resources, illegal logging, mismanagement of land, and a culture of corruption and cronyism deeply rooted in the military dictatorship.
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun added that forests have become shelters from the daily airstrikes carried out by the terrorist military regime, temporary homes for displaced people, and places of learning for young people and children.
On the occasion of celebrating the International Day of Forests, he also emphasized the need to expand partnerships and investment so that forests can become a resilient and sustainable pillar of the economy over the long term.
⸻ - NUG Foreign Ministry representative to France meets French senator to discuss future cooperation
m.CDM, March 26
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on March 26 that its representative to France, Nan Su Mon Aung, met with a French senator and discussed areas for continued future cooperation.
The meeting took place on March 25 at the French Senate between Nan Su Mon Aung and French senator Mr. Pascal Allizard.
According to the statement, they discussed the current progress of Myanmar’s Spring Revolution, conditions on the ground, ways the French government could provide practical assistance on Myanmar affairs, and possible areas for ongoing cooperation.
Mr. Pascal Allizard was the person who led the motion in the French Senate in 2021 calling on the French government to recognize the National Unity Government.
⸻ - In Yangon, a taxi driver dies while waiting in line for fuel; a car catches fire while queueing for fuel in Tamwe
m.CDM, March 26, 2026
It has been reported that a taxi driver died after losing consciousness in his car while waiting in line for fuel at a Max fuel station on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Bahan Township, Yangon Region.
At around 10:30 a.m. on March 16, the taxi driver, U Tin Htun, reportedly died after collapsing from heat stroke while queueing for fuel.
The 69-year-old U Patrick, also known as U Tin Htun, was a singer and a member of the Myanmar Music Association. He died while waiting for fuel in his Toyota Fielder taxi near the entrance to Mahasi Sasana Yeiktha Road.
Rescue teams transported his body to Yangon General Hospital, and it is believed that he may have died from a stroke caused by extreme heat.
In addition, at around 4:30 p.m., a car waiting in line at another Max fuel station on Thanthumar Road in Tamwe Township suddenly caught fire.
Although the fire lasted only about two minutes, nearly the entire vehicle was destroyed.
Citing conflicts in the Middle East, the junta has imposed a fuel-saving plan under which vehicles are sold fuel according to odd-even license plate numbers and under a quota system, forcing people to queue for fuel day and night for hours.
Because March and April are periods of extremely high daytime temperatures, critics warn that waiting for long periods in the sun like this could lead to more life-threatening dangers such as heatstroke, fainting, and vehicle fires.
⸻ - CNO/CNDF strongly bans poppy cultivation in Falam Township and warns of effective action against violators
m.CDM, March 26
The Chin National Organization/Chin National Defense Force (CNO/CNDF) issued a statement today, March 26, strongly banning poppy cultivation in Falam Township, Chin State, and warning that effective action will be taken against anyone who fails to comply.
CNO/CNDF said it was deeply concerned that poppy cultivation exists in Falam Township and strongly condemned both the growers and those directing them behind the scenes.
The statement said such cultivation is being carried out by people seeking personal profit who are taking advantage of instability in the township and using areas controlled by revolutionary organizations as cover.
Although some may be cultivating poppies as a livelihood due to the country’s instability and economic hardship, CNO urged them to switch to other forms of livelihood because poppy cultivation could destroy future generations.
For that reason, CNO stressed that poppy cultivation will not be permitted in Falam Township under any circumstances. Those currently cultivating poppies were told to destroy their fields themselves starting from the day the statement was issued and to never plant them again.
From today onward, anyone involved or connected with poppy cultivation will face effective action, including fines or imprisonment, and the CNO Anti-Narcotic Commission warned that it will not accept interference from any organization and will not ignore those who obstruct enforcement.
