m.CDM – February 21

Twelve complainants filed allegations in November 2025, including corruption, abuse of power, human rights violations, and sexual harassment.
The investigation found that Daw Kyi Pyar had appointed her husband as finance officer and two nephews as staff members — actions considered nepotism and a conflict of interest under international standards.
While evidence did not substantiate human rights violations, the investigation confirmed inappropriate conduct and breaches of internal policies.
The NUG announced a serious warning for Daw Kyi Pyar and suspension of her husband and two nephews. Four staff members who leaked information during the investigation will also receive written warnings.
The NUG stated it will implement an anti-nepotism policy and use institutional accounts through Spring Development Bank instead of personal bank accounts.
