Denmark’s National Contact Point (NCP Denmark) announced that Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) failed to meet OECD human rights standards in its business operations in Myanmar.
The findings followed a complaint filed by Justice For Myanmar (JFM). NCP Denmark found that NAC did not conduct proper due diligence regarding risks associated with its business relationships in Myanmar, including leasing aircraft to Air KBZ.
According to the complaint, four ATR passenger aircraft transferred to Air KBZ and KT Group were allegedly used by the Myanmar military for transporting troops and weapons.
Justice For Myanmar called on NAC and its owner, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), to fully implement the NCP Denmark recommendations and comply with international advisories.
