- Video Allegedly Showing FPV Suicide Drone Attack on Junta Type-92 Armored Vehicle in Bhamo Spreads Online**
m.CDM – January 23
A video allegedly showing a FPV (First-Person View) suicide drone attack on a Type-92 armored vehicle used by the military junta during fighting in Bhamo Township has been circulating on social media, according to Tactical Raptor.
The video shows an armored vehicle fitted with improvised overhead armor, the drone’s flight, and an explosion. However, the original Facebook account that posted the video lacks credibility, making it difficult to confirm the exact time and location.
Based on analysis:
- The vehicle matches the Type-92 armored vehicle (Chinese WZ-551) commonly used by junta forces in Bhamo.
- The drone’s flight and attack pattern are slower, resembling Myanmar battlefield conditions rather than Ukraine-style footage.
- The surrounding vegetation matches Myanmar’s current season.
These factors suggest the footage is likely from Myanmar’s civil war.
Although the extent of damage is unclear, analysts believe KIA allied forces possess FPV drones equipped with HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank) warheads.
