Lt. Gen. Gun Maw Calls for Unity and Strategic Leadership Beyond Armed Struggle
m.CDM – December 31
Kachin Independence Organization (KIO/KIA) Vice Chairman Lt. Gen. Gun Maw, in a speech sent on December 30 to mark the second anniversary of the Chin Brotherhood, urged revolutionary forces to stay on the correct path and to view unity based on truth and justice as the only genuine source of strength for victory.
He stated:
“Revolution means resisting injustice. If we see ourselves as revolutionaries, we must remain on the right path. Unity is crucial. Competing with the enemy’s military power alone is difficult. Only unity grounded in truth is real strength, and this is something we must always remember.”
He acknowledged that battles may involve victories, defeats, or the capture of positions, but emphasized that the final outcome of the revolution must be victory.
He said the ultimate goal of that victory is the establishment of a genuine federal democratic union, and expressed confidence that revolutionary forces share this common objective.
Lt. Gen. Gun Maw urged forces to view the Spring Revolution as a new political era, emphasizing that it is not only an armed struggle but also a process of nation-building. He called for:
• Gathering experts
• Leading with strategic planning
• Strengthening public services and administrative sectors, not just combat operations
Ah Han, [12/31/2025 11:44 PM]
He also warned against hierarchical thinking such as “who is above and who is below,” and against being influenced by divisive narratives among organizations.
Drawing an analogy, he said that just as small streams combine to form the Ayeyarwady River, united revolutionary forces can benefit the entire nation.
He concluded by expressing hope that the strength and resources of the Chin people would become invaluable assets for a federal democratic union.

Y4B Vows to Continue the Revolution Until the End Despite Arrests and Repression
m.CDM – December 31
The Yangon Revolutionary Brotherhood – Y4B declared on December 31 that no matter how severe arrests and repression become, they will continue the revolutionary journey until the end.
Despite tight security and repression in Yangon, Y4B reported that during 2025 they successfully carried out:
• 19 urban strikes and ground actions
• 22 humanitarian support operations
• 27 online campaign actions
• 3 boycott campaigns
They explained that the ability to raise revolutionary flags on Yangon’s streets came at the cost of fighters risking their lives.
Through flash protests lasting mere seconds in crowded areas, they demonstrated that public resistance remains strong. Anti-dictatorship messages were displayed in iconic urban locations to boost public morale.
Y4B emphasized that the revolution and the people are inseparable, like fish and water. Resources gained from the people were returned to the people, enabling effective delivery of food and medicine to displaced civilians and frontline fighters.
Through online campaigns, Y4B disseminated truthful revolutionary news via social media and conducted English-language campaigns to ensure Myanmar’s crisis was not ignored internationally.
They also successfully encouraged boycotts of military-linked products, striking at the junta’s financial lifelines.
Ah Han, [12/31/2025 11:44 PM]
Y4B stated that these achievements were made possible by public support, and therefore, regardless of arrests and repression, they will continue walking the revolutionary path together with Yangon until the very end.
They concluded by sending New Year wishes for safety and resilience to all revolutionary fighters and civilians participating in the ongoing, unfinished revolution.
