## 1) Junta bombs the Khin-U, Myay-ni-thyo junction again; at least 5 civilians killed

m.CDM – December 27

Locals said the junta again carried out an airstrike near Myay-ni-thyo junction in Khin-U Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region, killing at least five civilians.

At around 2:00 p.m. on December 27, a fighter jet dropped two bombs near the junction, and an Mi-35 helicopter attacked with rockets and machine guns, according to reports.

At least five civilians may have been killed, and at least 10 vehicles, including fuel tanker trucks, were burned and destroyed. Many people were also injured.

Reports say casualties were high because passenger vehicles and fuel trucks were stuck there after the junta blocked the Shwebo–Myitkyina road.

The same junction was also bombed on December 18, when one civilian was killed and six were injured.

## 2) Guerrilla attack on a junta unit arriving in Tatkon for the election; 3 soldiers killed, 3 wounded

m.CDM – December 27

PDF–Tatkon “Battalion 803” said it ambushed a junta column advancing toward Thaikchaung village in Tatkon Township, Naypyitaw area.

At around 3:00 p.m. on December 25, the resistance attacked a junta unit of about 20 troops that had arrived to provide security for the “sham election,” striking them while they were temporarily camped before reaching the village.

The engagement lasted about 10 minutes, after which resistance fighters withdrew without casualties. Follow-up information indicates three junta soldiers were killed and three were wounded.

The operation was reportedly carried out jointly by Naypyitaw Regional Military Command / Strategy No. (18) units (Battalions 803 and 802) together with the Tatkon Township PaKaFa.

## 3) Drone strikes for four consecutive days in Palaw town (SRF office, GAD office, police station, and LIB-280)

m.CDM – December 27

A joint force under KNU Brigade (4)—including KNDO Battalion (7) Drone Forces, KNLA Special Forces, and Myeik District Battalion No. (1) / T2 Sky Shadow UAV Forces—announced that it carried out drone bombings from December 23 to 26 targeting the junta’s SRF office, General Administration Office, police station, and Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 280 in Palaw town, Palaw Township, Myeik District, Tanintharyi Region.

The statement said the operation was conducted as an objection to the junta’s sham election, and that protest leaflets were also dropped.

Ground reports cited in the statement say two junta troops were killed and at least five were injured.

The PaKaFa heavy-weapons unit “Cobra One” said it attacked LIB (252) and a logistics unit under junta Division (101) in Pakokku Township at 11:30 a.m. on December 26, using two long-range “shock” drones during a powered-parachute landing.

The statement said the drones exploded inside the compound and caused damage. Afterward, junta forces reportedly responded by arriving in large numbers with vehicles, firing heavy weapons, and conducting cordon operations, but Cobra One members withdrew safely.

It added that the mission was difficult and only two drones could be launched because the powered-parachute aircraft was present.

## 5) Mandalay Regional Parliament appoints the Mandalay Region Auditor General

m.CDM – December 27

Mandalay Regional Parliament said it held Special Session 1/2025 on the morning of December 26 and approved the appointment of the Mandalay Region Auditor General submitted to the legislature.

Under Article 80 of the Mandalay Region Interim Political Arrangement, the Chair of the Mandalay Region Interim Administrative Council submitted the nominee, and the parliament confirmed the appointment unanimously, with no objections.

The appointee, U Pyae Phyo, took an oath in parliament, after which the special session was adjourned.

## 6) Yangon PaKaFa regional lead and team meet frontline fighters

m.CDM – December 27

Yangon PaKaFa stated that its regional lead and executive members visited and met with frontline combatants.

Those who visited included Yangon PaKaFa regional lead Comrade Naung Yoe, deputy lead (military affairs) Comrade Min Yan Naing, deputy lead (public affairs) Comrade Lagoon Eain, the logistics officer, the deputy for discipline, and the information officer.

They reportedly offered encouragement, provided support for military expenses, and gave instructions on needed matters.

## 7) 40 civil servants who joined the CDM honored with cash awards in Myaung Township

m.CDM – December 27

In Myaung Township, Sagaing District, Sagaing Region, the township public strike leadership committee held a ceremony and awarded 40 civil servants from one village who had participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) with 100,000 kyats each, according to the Myaung Township People’s Administration.

Attendees reportedly included members of the Sagaing District People’s Administration, the Myaung Township People’s Administration, the chair of the township Non-CDM Staff Administration Committee, strike committee members, charity group representatives, and community elders.

## 😎 Tamu PaKaFa warns it will seize assets of election participants as public property

m.CDM – December 27

In Tamu Township, Sagaing Region, the Township People’s Administration issued a warning that it will confiscate as public property all assets of individuals who run as candidates, political parties, and those who assist in the junta’s illegal “sham election” planned for December 28.

It also warned residents not to take part in district or township election sub-commissions and not to support the process in any way, stating that those involved will be investigated and dealt with effectively as necessary.

The junta-appointed election commission said it would set up 26 polling stations in Tamu town (in four urban wards and one village tract).

The NUG has already designated the junta-established Union Election Commission and its subordinate bodies as terrorist organizations, the report noted.

## 9) Call to join the Anti-Sham Election Campaign

m.CDM – December 27

The People Movement Platform urged people to participate in the Anti-Sham Election Campaign, calling on governments worldwide to reject the junta’s sham election and any results emerging from it.

The campaign also urged the international community not to engage with or recognize any institution that may emerge from the process, and to respect the will of the Myanmar people.

Ah Han, [12/27/2025 11:19 PM]

It said the platform is a coalition of civil society groups, strike committees, overseas organizations, and activists.

One participant, Ms. Shila, said elections held under fear are “sham elections,” engineered by an illegal junta to gain legitimacy, with outcomes pre-set to favor the junta’s proxy party.

The report cited a survey conducted in October and November of more than 3,700 people: 98% of respondents inside Myanmar said the election would not be fair, and 96% said they would not go vote.

It also referenced a RESPECT survey by BACS (Burma Affairs and Conflict Studies) among Myanmar migrant workers in 14 major Thai cities, reporting that 98% said they had no desire to vote and that they strongly opposed the junta’s sham election.
