🚩🚩 2. “Ceasefire Agreement Is Not Genuine Peace,” Says MNDAA Commander-in-Chief on the Second Anniversary of Operation 1027
October 27
The Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) stated that the existing ceasefire agreement with the military junta is only a temporary, stage-based outcome, not genuine peace. He emphasized the need for continued vigilance and strategic understanding in order to achieve true peace.
His remarks were made on October 25 during the graduation ceremony of Week-1 Cadet Batch, marking the second anniversary of Operation 1027.
He noted that the current ceasefire is not the final stage of peace, urging all troops to remain alert as the road toward true peace remains distant. The MNDAA’s statement added that the achievements gained since Operation 1027 were obtained through the blood, sweat, and sacrifices of countless comrades, and that all commanding officers must remember this history and value those results.
The 66-day-long training program was successfully held despite the tight security and complex circumstances in the Special Region, according to the statement.
The Commander-in-Chief further stated that the cadet training was part of a long-term strategic initiative aimed at creating a core force capable of bravely and effectively engaging in future battles.
The ceremony was attended by
Mr. Peng De Ren, Chief Secretary of the Central Committee of the MNTJP Party / Chairperson of the Special Region Administrative Committee / MNDAA Commander-in-Chief (Deputy General),
Mr. Jin Xin, Member of the MNDAA Central Political Bureau / Director of the Political Department of the Allied Forces, and
Mr. Lan Tian En, Member of the Central Political Bureau / Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Forces.
The MNDAA, along with its allied forces AA (Arakan Army) and TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army), launched Operation 1027 on October 27, 2023, targeting junta military bases, battalions, and headquarters across northern Shan State.
As a result, the MNDAA successfully captured major cities and towns including Lashio, Laukkai, Chin Shwe Haw, Mone Koe, Hsenwi, Kunlong, Panlon, Kwanlon, Sandhi, Tar Moe Nye, and Pan Sein, along with the Eastern Military Region Headquarters (Ya Ma Kha).
However, under pressure from the Chinese government, the MNDAA was compelled to return control of Lashio to junta forces in April 2024, while continuing administrative operations in other captured towns.
Today, October 27, marks the second anniversary of Operation 1027, which remains one of the most significant and strategically successful operations since the coup.

🚩🚩 3. Kanpetlet Township Administration Warns Against Holding Gatherings Following Junta Airstrikes
October 27
The Kanpetlet Township People’s Administration Team in Chin State has issued a public warning advising residents not to organize mass gatherings or events, following recent airstrikes by the terrorist junta.
The warning was issued on October 26, after consecutive junta air attacks on October 24 and 25, which targeted the town and surrounding areas. The attacks have raised serious safety concerns among local residents.
The statement also advised people to construct protective bomb shelters to mitigate the risks of future air raids, as the junta’s air force continues to commit indiscriminate and brutal attacks against both civilians and resistance forces.
On October 24, at around 9:30 a.m., the junta air force bombed Ward No. (2) in Kanpetlet using 500-pound bombs, followed by another airstrike at 8:20 p.m. on October 25 targeting the same town.

🚩🚩 4. Public Movement in Pyin Oo Lwin Protests the Dictatorial Regime and Its Sham Election
October 27
In Pyin Oo Lwin, a town known both as the “City of Flowers” and a stronghold of military training schools, the public staged a protest movement opposing the dictatorial regime and its planned sham election, according to the People’s Movement Coordination Committee – Mandalay, which released the statement today.
Despite being home to numerous junta military institutions, residents of Pyin Oo Lwin have continued to resist the dictatorship in various forms during the nearly five years since the military coup.
In defiance of the regime and its fraudulent election plans, local residents staged public demonstrations at several prominent locations in the city — including the welcome sign, city clock tower, railway station, and night market — displaying their courage, determination, and revolutionary spirit.
The Coordination Committee reported that Pyin Oo Lwin residents continue to face ongoing oppression, including arbitrary arrests, forced conscription, and extortion by junta soldiers and militia groups. Consequently, anger and defiance toward the military regime remain widespread among the public.
The people are said to strongly reject the junta’s sham election, viewing it as another illegitimate attempt to justify military rule.
Resistance leaders reiterated that since the People’s Revolution belongs to the people themselves, citizens must continue to resist the military dictatorship in every possible way without submission.
Dr. Tay Zar San, a leading figure in the Mandalay People’s Strike Committee, also urged citizens to stand united until the revolution achieves victory, reaffirming that their generation is determined to be the last to fight against dictatorship and will not stop until the struggle is won.
