🚩🚩 1. At Least Four Clashes Occur Within a Week in Karenni State as Junta Forces Intensify Offensives and Conduct Arson Attacks

According to a statement released by the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF), junta troops have launched military offensives across multiple townships in Karenni State, including the eastern part of Loikaw Township, Demoso Township, Pruso Township, Bawlakhe Township, and Phek Khon Township along the Karenni–Southern Shan border. Over the past week, no fewer than four battles have taken place in these areas.
On October 6, a clash lasting about one hour broke out between junta troops stationed on a hill near Wan Ma Lan Village, Bawlakhe Township, and KNDF allied forces. Reports indicate that junta forces suffered significant casualties in the encounter.
On the same day, another intense battle lasting nearly three hours occurred when junta troops, together with PNO (Pa-O National Organization) forces, advanced into several villages along the Loilin Lay area in eastern Loikaw Township, near the Karenni–Southern Shan border.
Similarly, on October 7, junta troops operating with two columns in Lin Phon Gyi Village, Loilin Lay Township, clashed with Karenni revolutionary forces for nearly two hours. The junta troops reportedly retreated after sustaining heavy losses.
Again, on October 9, a junta column of over 60 soldiers launched another assault in the Lin Phon Gyi area, leading to a fierce two-day-long battle with Karenni revolutionary forces. The clash resulted in more than 10 junta soldiers killed, and four firearms with ammunition were seized.
Additionally, junta forces carried out airstrikes and arson attacks on civilian structures between Daw Nye Khu and Daw Ku Khu villages in Pruso Township, and the junta–PNO joint force based at Tawng Salone Village, Phek Khon Township, raided and burned down Myauk Salone Village.
The KNDF warned that the junta has been deploying large numbers of troops and launching intense offensives across Karenni State and along the Karenni–Southern Shan border. It urged civilians living or traveling in these conflict areas, as well as residents across the state, to remain alert and prioritize safety and security awareness.

🚩🚩 2. Pyu Saw Htee Camp in Kyauk Pyut Village, Myingyan Township, Overrun – 10 Killed; Group Led by Thida Yu Mon Ambushed and Crushed

According to the People’s Star Force, an attack was carried out on October 12 against a Pyu Saw Htee militia base stationed in Kyauk Pyut Village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in 10 deaths among junta-backed militia members.
The operation, which lasted about three hours, successfully overran the Pyu Saw Htee outpost, killing roughly 10 junta and Pyu Saw Htee members before the remaining forces fled the area.
The assault was jointly conducted by the People’s Star Force, MGN Danger Dynamites, MGRF PDF, Tarlee Fight PDF, and Myingyan Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defense Force).
Earlier, on October 10, resistance forces ambushed and destroyed another Pyu Saw Htee group led by Thida Yu Mon, which had been burning down villages along the Ywar Gyi–Nyaung Pin Road.
That attack was jointly executed by the People’s Star Force, MGN Danger Dynamites, and the Myingyan Pa Ka Pha, killing no fewer than 15 Pyu Saw Htee members.

🚩🚩 3. Clash Along East Byuha–Chin Shwe Haw Road in Sagaing Township Leaves Three Junta Soldiers Dead; Weapons Seized

The Thunderbird Local Defense Force reported that on October 6 (Full Moon Day of Thadingyut), a clash erupted along the East Byuha–Chin Shwe Haw Road in Sagaing Township when junta troops attempted to advance through the area.
As a result, three junta soldiers were killed, and several military supplies and equipment were seized. One resistance fighter from the revolutionary forces fell heroically in battle, according to the report.
The engagement involved Thunderbird Local Defense Force, Pa Du Township Pa Ka Pha, and other local resistance units operating in the area.

🚩🚩 4. Airstrike on Village School in Hakha’s Van Hah Village Kills Two Students and Injures Several Others

According to local sources and the Chinland Defense Force–Hakha (CDF-Hakha), junta air forces conducted a bombing raid on a school in Van Hah Village, Hakha Township, at around 10:30 a.m. on October 13, killing two students and injuring many others.
The victims were identified as Johan (aged about 10) and Zin Cer, both students in Grade 3 and Grade 5, respectively. Several other children remain missing following the airstrike, and search operations are ongoing.
A local resident reported that about 15 minutes after the initial bombing, the junta conducted a follow-up drone strike targeting the same area.
Van Hah Village lies approximately 20 miles from Hakha and has no presence of revolutionary forces, making it a purely civilian area.

🚩🚩 5. One Civilian Injured in Junta Airstrike on Kyar Gyi Village, Namhsan Township

According to a statement released by the PSLF/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front / Ta’ang National Liberation Army), a male civilian was injured when junta forces launched an airstrike on Kyar Gyi Village, located in Namhsan Township—an area under the control of PSLF/TNLA Brigade (9) in northern Shan State.
The attack occurred at 12:55 p.m. on October 13, when junta forces deployed a fighter jet to drop six 250-pound bombs on the village.
As a result of the bombardment, 19-year-old Maung Aso sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. The strike also damaged two school buildings and six houses.
Earlier, on October 4, junta forces carried out a similar airstrike on Zay Tone Hone Village, also in Namhsan Township. That attack killed two children, injured nine civilians—including six other children—and destroyed 16 houses.

🚩🚩 6. Three Junta Soldiers Desert and Are Captured in Yaw Region: Two from Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368) and One from Saw

The Yaw Alinn Tan news outlet reported that two sergeants who deserted from the Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368) under the junta’s command, and one warrant officer who deserted from Saw, were captured by local defense forces.
According to the report, on October 9, the two sergeants deserted from Battalion (368) and later appeared in Yaw Myo Village, where they threatened locals at gunpoint while demanding alcohol. On October 10, around 8:30 a.m., local residents together with members of the Defense Forces successfully surrounded and captured the two deserters.
Authorities confiscated a MA-5 pistol, five 9mm bullets, one hand grenade, and one mobile phone from them.
Following their desertion, the junta dispatched approximately 120 troops from Battalion (368) into Yaw Myo Village on October 10 and 11 to conduct a search operation.
Similarly, on October 12 in the evening, another warrant officer-ranked soldier who had deserted from Saw was also captured. All three deserters are now being questioned and investigated, according to the report.

🚩🚩 7. Junta Troops Raid Villages in Wundwin, Arbitrarily Arresting Young Men

According to Voice of Wundwin, junta troops have been raiding villages and arbitrarily arresting young men in Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region.
On October 11, junta forces stationed at Pintale entered Pae Nan Thar Village, firing indiscriminately and chasing villagers who fled in fear. Two civilians attempting to escape were reportedly shot at.
On their return route to Pintale, the junta troops abducted one young man each from Pulu Kone and Kan Gyi villages.
Similarly, on October 12, junta troops from Pintale arrived in Sin Thae Kway and Kway Gyi villages in military trucks, firing weapons into the air and entering homes to forcibly arrest residents.
During these raids, two young men from Sin Thae Kway Village and two from Kway Gyi Village were abducted. Parents were reportedly told that if they wanted their sons released, they would have to pay 2.5 million kyats per person by the same night.

🚩🚩 8. 55 Junta Personnel Defect or Are Captured in Early October: People’s Goal Reports

According to a statement by the People’s Goal (Pyi Thu Pan Tai) network, a total of 55 individuals—including junta soldiers, police officers, and members of militia groups—either defected or were captured as prisoners of war during the first week of October 2025.
From October 1 to 7, 15 junta personnel defected to the resistance, comprising 14 soldiers and 1 police officer.
Among the defecting soldiers, 2 were from Chin State, 1 from Bago Region, 2 from Yangon Region, 3 from Tanintharyi Region, 3 from Karen State, and 3 from Kayah State. Of these, 10 were newly conscripted soldiers forced into service under the military conscription law. The police officer was reportedly from Magway Region.
During the same period, 40 junta personnel were captured as prisoners of war—including 31 soldiers and 9 members of junta-aligned militias.
The captured soldiers comprised 27 from Magway Region and 4 from Sagaing Region, with 23 of them being newly conscripted recruits. The militia members included 7 from Sagaing Region and 2 from Mandalay Region.
The report added that between January 2025 and the first week of October 2025, a total of 2,176 junta personnel had either defected or been captured.
