🚩🚩 1. Fierce Fighting Between the Military Junta and TNLA in Kyaukme; Junta Conducts Drone Attacks with Incendiary and Chemical Gas Bombs, Causing Widespread Fires

According to local reports, beginning in the afternoon of September 30, the terrorist military junta carried out drone attacks on Kyaukme town, dropping incendiary bombs and chemical gas bombs.
As a result of the attacks, shops in the central market area, the Gyo Phut Office, the Forestry Office, the police station, and other government department buildings inside the town were set ablaze and destroyed. A large number of residents fled to safety, with only a few people remaining behind as house sitters.
It was reported that the terrorist junta troops have reached within four miles of Kyaukme and are attempting to penetrate into the town. However, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) continues to maintain control over Kyaukme and is fiercely resisting the junta’s assaults.
On social media, pro-junta propaganda claimed that TNLA was responsible for burning down departmental buildings. However, local residents stated that the fires were caused by bombs dropped from the junta’s drones.

🚩🚩 2. Three Junta Soldiers (Including One Corporal) Captured Alive, Three Killed During Retreat from Chaungma Battle

The Union Liberation Front (ULF V-02) announced that during a retreat from the battle in Chaungma village, Ka Ni Township, Sagaing Region, three junta soldiers, including a corporal, were captured alive and three were killed.
On September 12, two junta soldiers fleeing from the same area were also captured dead, along with the seizure of two MA-1 rifles, 170 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, and eight magazines.
Similarly, on September 18, one junta corporal and two People’s Militia soldiers attempting to flee were captured alive. In that incident, two MA-1 rifles, one MA-2 rifle, 420 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, and 19 magazines were seized.
Again, on September 29, one fleeing junta soldier was captured dead, and one MA-1 rifle, 50 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, and three magazines were confiscated.
The Union Liberation Front (ULF V-02), operating in Yamarbin Township, appealed for cooperation and support in its “Northwest Campaign” to carry out successful military operations.

🚩🚩 3. Junta Column Burns Down 73 Civilian Homes in Tapyauk Village, Kasetdo Township

The Karen National Union (KNU), Myeik-Tavoy District, announced that the terrorist junta troops burned down a total of 73 civilian houses in Tapyauk Village, Kasetdo Township, Kawthulei administrative territory, Tanintharyi Region.
At around 7:00 a.m. on September 30, junta battalions 403, 404, and 405, advancing from Tharyar Chaung town, launched a military column into Tapyauk Village.
It was reported that the KNLA Brigade 4, Battalion 12, along with allied revolutionary forces, launched an ambush attack against the junta column.
Following the ambush, the junta troops retaliated by torching 73 civilian homes in Kyaukhlaykar Village, which had no connection to the fighting.

🚩🚩 4. Three Civilians Seriously Injured in Junta Drone Bombing on Tin Thar Village, Kalay Township

According to local sources, at around 4:00 p.m. on September 28, junta forces carried out a drone bombing on Tin Thar Village, Kalay Township, without any active clashes occurring in the area. They dropped 120 mm bombs from drones.
As a result of the attack, Daw Nhin Mu (age 41), U Tin Htoo (age 57), and Daw Shwe Sin (age 25) sustained severe injuries, and some civilian houses were damaged.
In January 2025, junta forces had also carried out airstrikes on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Tin Thar Village and nearby Kokkol Village, killing eight civilians—including children—and injuring 15 others.

🚩🚩 5. Four Soldiers from Junta’s LIB-280 Defect to KNLA Battalion 11 in Tanintharyi Township

The Karen National Union (KNU), Myeik-Tavoy District, announced that four soldiers from the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 280 defected to the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Battalion 11 in Tanintharyi Township.
On September 30, the four junta soldiers, unarmed, surrendered and defected to the KNLA.
It was reported that these four soldiers had previously been forcibly conscripted through the junta’s illegal military training program and were sent to the frontline near Thaein Khun. They later deserted and defected to the KNLA.

🚩🚩 6. CDF-Asho Holds Graduation Ceremony for Weekly Basic Military Training Course No. 7

The Chin Defense Force – Asho (CDF-Asho) announced that the graduation ceremony for its Weekly Basic Military Training Course No. 7 was held on September 28 at a rear training camp of CDF-Asho.
During the ceremony, activities included the flag salute, oath-taking, awarding of outstanding trainees, and traditional Chin cultural performances such as the bamboo dance by the graduating trainees.
