📌📌 2. KNU Firmly Denies Allegations of Involvement in the Military Council’s KK Park Online Scam Operations

Radio NUG

The Karen National Union (KNU) has categorically denied the accusations made by the spokesperson of the Myanmar military council, Major General Zaw Min Tun, claiming that the KNU has profited from leasing land and providing security for the KK Park online scam operation along the Thai-Myanmar border.

According to the KNU’s statement released on October 26, the 100-acre land plot alleged by the junta and the 500-acre plot where the KK Park online scam operates are completely separate, located about three kilometers apart.

The statement further clarified that Trans Asia International Holding Group (Thailand) Co. Ltd, which had leased the 100-acre plot, terminated its operations and withdrew from the area in December 2022.

The KNU affirmed unequivocally that it has no connection whatsoever with the KK Park online scam operation and even cited satellite imagery to support its statement.

It added that the junta’s accusations were part of a disinformation campaign aimed at concealing its own political, economic, and military interests.

The KNU emphasized that the military council has targeted and blamed them merely to divert attention from its own illicit gains derived from online scam businesses. The organization completely rejects all allegations and reaffirmed its clear and firm stance.

📌📌 3. CDM Lieutenant Colonel Htet Myat Strongly Criticizes the Junta’s Propaganda Film

October 26
Radio NUG

Lieutenant Colonel Htet Myat, a member of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), has strongly condemned a propaganda film produced by the military council with the intent to suppress public resistance and demoralize the people under its rule.

He stated that the film seeks to distort revolutionary history by portraying public protests as acts of violence.

According to Htet Myat, the junta produced the film as a psychological warfare tool, depicting characters who were CDM protest participants deciding to return to work. The film also portrays teachers returning to classrooms for the sake of children and doctors continuing to provide medical care out of professional duty — narratives intended to manipulate public perception.

“Why are they making such a film at this point? Do they think people are foolish? Everyone has a brain. Do they want to brainwash people into believing this nonsense?”
he wrote in his remarks.

He further noted that the film deceitfully portrays elections as the only means of resolving political conflicts, misleading the public about the junta’s intentions.

Lieutenant Colonel Htet Myat also urged actors and actresses involved in the film to oppose participation in projects that mock or undermine the people’s revolution.

“They should understand that doing a bit of charity work and shedding a few tears will not make the people forgive them. The people’s hatred cannot be soothed by such acts. They must realize this,”
he added.
