📌📌 1. ULA/AA Rejects and Condemns Fortify Rights’ Statement Aimed at Damaging the Reputation of the Arakan National Party/Arakan Army

October 26

The United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) has rejected and condemned the statement issued by Fortify Rights, which it described as an attempt to undermine the reputation of the Arakan National Party/Arakan Army.

According to the ULA/AA’s response, the statement by Fortify Rights contained factual inaccuracies and politically motivated, baseless accusations. The group issued this response following Fortify Rights’ publication on October 22, which accused the ULA/AA of committing human rights violations, including forced labor.

In its response, the ULA/AA stated that while Fortify Rights claims to be an organization protecting human rights, its actions have been one-sided and intended to politically discredit the ULA/AA.

The ULA/AA emphasized that, since its establishment, it has strictly adhered to International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions, including ILO Convention No. 29 on Forced Labour, and has never engaged in any violations of such conventions.

The group also reaffirmed its respect for and compliance with the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, stating that it provides training and guidance to its members to ensure respect for and adherence to international conventions and human rights principles.

Furthermore, the ULA/AA highlighted that it has been actively working to promote harmony among different religious and ethnic communities residing in Arakan State. It has also ensured equality across sectors such as religion, ethnicity, education, healthcare, and administration, allowing all communities to enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

Therefore, the ULA/AA advised Fortify Rights to conduct a more accurate, on-the-ground assessment of the realities in Arakan State and to critically review its sources in order not to be manipulated by extremist religious actors.

Local Arakan affairs activists also pointed out that Fortify Rights’ statement was detached from the actual situation in Arakan and appeared to rely on fabricated narratives crafted by extremist elements. They further urged the organization to stop spreading misinformation and propagandist reports that unfairly target the Arakan Army.

📌📌 2. Monza Mayor in Italy Presents “Golden Seal Award” to Kin Eric, Son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

October 26

Kin Eric, the younger son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, announced on October 26 that the Mayor of Monza, Italy, had presented him with the city’s Golden Seal Award.

During his visit to Monza, he met with Mayor Paolo Pilotto and proudly received the prestigious Golden Seal of the city.

While in Monza, he also visited the city’s magnificent Cathedral and Museum, where he had the opportunity to see the historic Iron Crown, known as one of the oldest royal insignia in Christian history.

The Iron Crown, adorned with six golden sections and precious gemstones, has long been recognized as a symbol of endurancesacrifice, and struggle for justice, having been handed down through generations of monarchs.

Kin Eric shared that as he stood before the Iron Crown, he was reminded of his mother, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and the people of Myanmar who continue to fight courageously for freedom despite ongoing oppression and violence.

He remarked that although the people are suffering under a brutal regime, they continue to resist with unwavering spirit, courage, and strength in their pursuit of freedom.

He reflected that the Iron Crown—representing endurance—serves as a reminder that true strength lies in the willingness to sacrifice for truth and faith. No matter how difficult the struggle may be, one day, those who remain faithful to justice will triumph over tyranny.

Kin Eric, the younger son of Myanmar’s State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, visited Italy earlier this month, where he met with Ignazio La Russa, President of the Italian Senate, through an introduction by Piero Ferdinando Casini, Chair of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.

He expressed gratitude to Italian parliamentarians and officials for their continued support for the Myanmar people’s struggle for freedom and justice.

Following these meetings, Kin Eric also attended a multi-faith peace conference organized by Religions for Peace Italy, where participants discussed the importance of interfaith unity in resolving conflicts and fostering lasting peace in Myanmar.

📌📌 3. Pa Ka Pha of Kyunsu Township Warns Against Forced Voting Without Public Consent

October 26

The People’s Defense Team (Pa Ka Pha) of Kyunsu Township, Tanintharyi Region, has issued a warning not to engage in coercive or forced voting activities that disregard the people’s will.

This statement was released in connection with the unlawful and sham election being organized by the terrorist military commission.

The Kyunsu Township Pa Ka Pha reaffirmed that the results of the 2020 general election remain the only legitimate political mandate and that the only lawful government of Myanmar is the People’s Government, led by President U Win Myint and State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

The statement emphasized that the military junta’s attempt to hold an election lacks legitimacy and represents a blatant violation of democratic principles.

It added that any so-called election conducted by the junta is merely an effort to unlawfully prolong military rule and to seize sovereign power from the people. Therefore, the Kyunsu Township Pa Ka Pha declared its absolute rejection of the junta’s fake election and sham peace process.

The Pa Ka Pha also urged the people of Kyunsu Township to stand firm together in opposition, maintaining a clear and determined stance against these illegitimate activities.

Furthermore, local administrators, village and ward officials operating under the junta’s control were warned not to assist in preparing voter lists, pressuring civilians to check voter rolls, or coercing people to vote without consent.

The Kyunsu Township Pa Ka Pha stated that it already possesses complete records of the names and addresses of all local officials collaborating with the military commission and warned that anyone who continues to aid the junta in conducting this unlawful election will face severe punitive action.
