📌📌 2. Ministry of Defence to Issue New Certificates of Recognition with QR Codes
October 18
Radio NUG
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) under the National Unity Government (NUG) announced that it will begin issuing a new version of Certificates of Recognition, complete with QR Codes, to donors who have contributed to the revolution.
Starting from October 17, these newly designed certificates will allow donors to scan and verify their recognition records themselves through a QR Code printed on the certificate.
By scanning the QR Code on their certificate, donors will be redirected to the official verification website verify.modnug.org, where they can confirm details such as the donor’s name, organization name, amount of donation, certificate number, and date of issue — if the certificate was genuinely issued by the Ministry of Defence.
If the QR Code or certificate is found to be forged or falsified, the system will indicate that no official record exists.
According to the ministry, this four-step verification system enables donors to independently confirm the authenticity of their certificates and distinguish genuine records from counterfeits.
