October 16 β€” Radio NUG

The 37th Meeting (37/2025) of the Central Committee for Interim Local Public Administration Implementation under the National Unity Government was held on the morning of October 16, 2025.

During the meeting, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, who serves as the Chairman of the Central Committee, delivered the opening remarks.

He stated:

β€œIn terms of governance, everyone is aware that we are currently managing two key areas.

The first concerns administrative operations in areas under the full control of the NUG, while ensuring that in areas not yet fully under our control, no administrative vacuum exists.

Secondly, we are also doing our utmost to provide services to the people who are suffering from various hardships inflicted by the military council’s brutal tactics.

Nowadays, ministers, deputy ministers, and local administrative officials are personally traveling to the townships to conduct on-site inspections and meet with people.

Therefore, the first step is to be able to see and accept the realities as they are, and only then can we proceed to the second step β€” to reflect on how best to overcome those realities.”

During the meeting, members of the Central Committee discussed updates on the progress of decisions made during the previous 36th meeting (36/2025), reviewed implementation outcomes, and addressed remaining issues requiring follow-up actions.

The meeting was led by Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, and attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, and departmental officials. It concluded at 12:30 PM.
