The 11/2025 meeting of the Union-Level Natural Resources Management and Administration Committee was held on October 2. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, the meeting was attended by:
- Committee Chair, Union Prime Minister Man Win Khaing Than,
- Deputy Chair and members from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment, and Ministry of Electricity and Energy,
- Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and responsible officials from the Secretariat Office of the Union-Level Natural Resources Management and Administration Committee.
The meeting opened with remarks by Chair Prime Minister Man Win Khaing Than. The Committee Secretary then reported on the implementation progress of the resolutions of the 10/2025 meeting and ongoing activities.
Afterward, responsible officials presented updates on sector-wise natural resource management issues, which were discussed and reviewed by the Chair and Committee members.

On October 3, at 10:00 a.m., parliamentarians from the Magway Federal Unit Parliament and the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament held a joint meeting via Zoom, according to reports.
During the session, the Speaker of the Sagaing Federal Unit Parliament delivered opening remarks and shared matters concerning the formation of the Interim Government Committee of Sagaing Federal Unit.
Following that, parliamentarians from both units exchanged views on:
- current on-ground challenges and difficulties,
- processes for federal unit building,
- legislative matters.
Attendees included Speakers, Deputy Speakers, parliamentarians, and representatives from parliamentary committees of both Magway and Sagaing Federal Unit Parliaments.

📌📌 3. Women and Child Protection training courses resume in Myoing Township

According to the Ministry of Human Rights, Women and Child Protection (WCP) training courses were relaunched in Myoing Township, Magway Region, beginning in September.
The course included:
- Child rights under the CRC (Convention on the Rights of the Child),
- Protection of children during armed conflict under International Humanitarian Law,
- Gender equality,
- Rights of minority groups including LGBTQIA+,
- Current laws under the National Unity Government (NUG).
It was noted that participants gained:
- stronger understanding of children’s rights and protection,
- better awareness of fundamental principles of gender equality,
- greater knowledge of LGBTQIA+ rights and protective measures.
One trainee shared their impression:
“I have learned more ways to protect myself from violence and how to respond if I encounter it. I believe such training should be provided in nearly every village.”

📌📌 4. Announcement of the Leading Members of the Magway Region Interim Basic Education Representative Board

It has been reported that on October 1, the ceremony for the election and appointment of the leading members of the Magway Region Interim Basic Education Representative Board was successfully held online in a systematic and transparent manner.
According to the report, out of the 15 nominated representatives officially announced by the Election Commission and the 68 registered voters from township education boards and educational organizations across the Magway Region, over 80 percent participated in the voting process.
The individuals elected as leading members of the Magway Region Interim Basic Education Representative Board are as follows:
- Chairperson: Teacher Nway Oo UK
- Deputy Chairperson (1): Teacher Ma Aryeip Pan
- Deputy Chairperson (2): Teacher Ma NE
- Administrative Affairs: Teacher Nyaint Thu Ya
- Finance: Teacher Thet
- Education Affairs: Teacher Polaris
- CDM Affairs: Teacher Ma Sofia

It is further noted that the Election Commission carried out its duties transparently, which included holding 11 coordination meetings, meeting with various education organizations within Magway Region to explain the election process, collecting candidate lists and voter lists, verifying and officially announcing the nominated candidates, and finally conducting the election.

📌📌 5. Young Man from Nay Pyi Taw (Tat Kone) Tortured to Death for Refusing Military Conscription

According to a report by MDSI, a young man who refused military conscription was brutally tortured by the recruitment troops in Tat Kone, Nay Pyi Taw, and died on September 30.
The deceased young man was from Ywe Su Village, Tat Kone Township, and it is learned that his death was caused by severe torture inflicted by the recruitment troops and local administrators.
Across the country, young people continue to face serious human rights violations, including arbitrary arrests and forced recruitment by the junta’s army, intimidation and coercion to serve in the military, and trafficking of conscripts for profit.
