Myanmar Military News Updates – Sep 30, 2025 Morning

🚩🚩 1. At least 3 junta troops looting public-owned property killed in an ambush

In Twinma Pyu Saw Htee Village, Mying Township, Pakokku District, Magway Region, a junta unit that was looting public-owned property was ambushed, leaving at least three dead, according to Mying Pa Ka Pha.

On September 28 at around 2 p.m., a revolutionary joint force carried out an ambush attack with gunfire against junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia in Twinma (Pyu) Village.

During the clash, at least three junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed, and one MA1 rifle was seized.

The attack was a joint operation carried out by Mying Pa Ka Pha Battalions (1) and (2), the People’s Liberation Coalition – PLC, the Kamma Column, and the 8+ Column.

🚩🚩 2. Clash during inspection of junta vehicle on Pathein–Monywa road; military equipment seized

On September 28, at around 11 p.m., a black civilian car traveling from Myaungdwin Village toward Kyauk Taing junta camp along the Pathein–Monywa road was stopped for inspection by resistance fighters near Kyauk Taing Village.

However, the car refused to stop and instead opened fire on the resistance fighters, triggering a return of fire, according to the United States of Burma Army (USBA).

In the shootout, three junta personnel were injured and fled.

Afterward, the fleeing vehicle was set ablaze, and inside it, the resistance fighters seized five 40mm grenades, one set of military uniform, one phone, one pair of handcuffs, one ritual charm, and two condoms, among other items.

The junta soldiers who escaped were later picked up around 12 a.m. near San Gyi Village by a reinforcement vehicle full of troops from Min Tun Town.

The resistance forces warned that in the future, any vehicle that disobeys orders to stop will be fired upon and seized.

They also urged nearby villages to prepare for security measures, as intelligence suggests the junta is preparing new offensives.

Resistance groups have already blocked vehicle movement on the Pathein–Monywa road after 6 p.m., repeatedly informing the public to comply with road restrictions.

🚩🚩 3. 10th grade student killed by junta drone strike in U Yar Gyi Village, Gyobingauk Township

On the evening of September 28, junta troops stationed at Ale Kone police outpost in Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region, used a drone to bomb U Yar Gyi Village, according to local reports.

During the attack, 18-year-old Maung Ice Tine was studying at home for his exams when a bomb struck his house, fatally injuring his chest and killing him instantly. His house was also destroyed.

Furthermore, on September 26 and 27, villages along the border of Gyobingauk and Okpho Townships—including Daung Sapar Kwin, Myo Kaing, Phalan Pin, and Ywar Thit—were also attacked with drones.

🚩🚩 4. Eight civilians, including children, killed in Sadon by junta airstrike

On September 29 at around 3 p.m., two jet fighters from the junta airbase in Myitkyina, Kachin State, dropped bombs at least four times on Sadon’s market area and nearby Taung Kone, according to local sources.

The bombings coincided with school dismissal hours, resulting in many child casualties as well as civilian shoppers at the market.

Among the dead were U Mar Mu Lait, Daw Tin Lwe (aged 50), Ma Sandra (aged 30), the wife and son of U Ah Ywet, one student, and an unidentified man, according to KNG.

Of the seven injured, six sustained critical wounds and are receiving medical treatment.

🚩🚩 5. Two civilians killed, 19 injured in Paletwa junta airstrike

In Paletwa Town, Paletwa District, Chin State, a junta airstrike killed two civilians and injured 19 others, according to We Love Paletwa.

At around 12:30 p.m. on September 29, junta aircraft dropped three 500-pound bombs in three strikes.

The dead were identified as Daw Thu Zar Win (aka Boat Boat), aged 40, and Ma Mya Mya Khin, aged 18. Both died on the spot.

Nineteen locals were also injured, with several in critical condition and at risk of death.

It is noted that the Arakan Army (AA) has fully controlled Paletwa since January 14, 2024.

📌📌 6. Civilian Injured in Junta’s Heavy Artillery and Airstrike on Namhsok Village

In Namhsok Village, Kyaukme Township, located in Brigade 2 territory of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) in northern Shan State, a man was injured when the junta forces carried out heavy artillery shelling and an airstrike.

On September 27, at around 2:30 p.m., the junta launched an aerial attack on Namhsok Village, dropping one 250-pound bomb and firing six rounds of heavy artillery.

Although there were no clashes in the area, the attack deliberately targeted civilians, resulting in one man being wounded and cornfields destroyed.

Similarly, in Pan Thapyay Village, Monglon Township, the junta dropped two 500-pound bombs from the air, despite no clashes occurring. The attack damaged a monastery and around 20 houses.

📌📌 7. Four Consecutive Days of Junta Drone Strikes in Myawaddy Township Cause School and Monastery Damage, Civilians Flee

According to local sources, from September 26 onward, the junta has been carrying out drone bombing attacks on Min Let Pan Village, Phalu Village, and Me Thaw Thalay area in Myawaddy Township, Karen State.

Although there were no civilian casualties, the attacks destroyed buildings, including schools and monasteries.

Since early September, the junta and its Border Guard Force (BGF) have re-entered the Asian Highway, launched offensives toward Myawaddy Town, and then advanced further toward Lay Kay Kaw. These operations forced residents of Lay Kay Kaw New Town and villages along the route to flee.

Now, in the rainy season, displaced civilians are struggling with shelter, food, and basic necessities. Some have set up makeshift tents along the Thaungyin River on the Thai–Myanmar border.

Additionally, pregnant women, children, and the elderly are in urgent need of medicines and healthcare services.

📌📌 8. Four Women Killed in Junta Airstrikes on Singu Township

On September 28, at around 5:00 p.m., a jet fighter from Tada-U Airbase bombed a school in Kan Taung Village, Singu Township, killing two women and injuring four others.

Similarly, a jet fighter from Meiktila Airbase bombed near a dam close to Male Village in Singu Township, killing another two women and injuring three others.

📌📌 9. Three Anyar Lay Revolutionary Joint Forces Fighters Killed in Junta Airstrike

According to the Anyar Lay Revolutionary Joint Forces, three of their fighters were killed when the junta carried out an airstrike on one of their outposts.

The attack took place on the afternoon of September 28. The casualties include:

  • Reh Baw The Min (age 20), an outpost commander and unit commander of the Anyar Lay Joint Forces
  • Reh Baw Bala (age 18) from God of Myaing
  • Reh Baw Naing Gyi (age 34) from PI PDF

The Joint Forces stated that they are deeply grieved by this great loss. However, they declared their determination to avenge and redress this sacrifice—for the revolution, for the parents of the fallen fighters, and for the people.
