📌📌 1. AA Captures Outpost of Nat Yay Kan Air Defense Base

September 30

According to local sources, the Arakan Army (AA), together with allied resistance forces, has seized an outpost of the Nat Yay Kan Air Defense Base, located on the Ann–Padang road in Ngaphe Township, along the Rakhine–Magway border.

The captured base, known as Gote Kyi Village Outpost, was a strategically important military post used for Tatmadaw (junta) logistics support.

Military sources close to the AA reported that AA and its allied forces launched an offensive operation against Gote Kyi Village Outpost during the last week of September, and successfully captured it on September 28.

It is further reported that AA and allied forces had already taken control of villages such as Linn Te and Sone Teik along the Rakhine Yoma mountain range between Ann and Padang, and have now expanded control to include Gote Kyi Village.

Although the outpost had hundreds of junta troops stationed there, they were forced to abandon their positions and flee from the Nat Yay Kan Air Defense Base due to the strong assault of AA and allied forces.

At present, AA and allied PDF forces are continuing their offensive against the Nat Yay Kan Air Defense Base. In response, the junta’s MASAC-905 Command Headquarters and Artillery Battalion No. 409, based at Sone Kone in Padang Township (about 10 miles away from the base), are reinforcing the area with troops and carrying out aerial bombardments along the Ann–Padang road.

Military observers note that if the resistance forces succeed in capturing Nat Yay Kan View Hill, they would be able to dominate the Ann–Padang road, thereby posing a direct threat to the junta’s military production factories.
