🚩🚩 1. Karenni Joint Forces warn against using Demoso–Pruso–Hpruso road due to junta shelling and airstrikes
September 24
The Karenni Joint Forces Military Command has issued a warning on September 24 advising civilians not to use the Demoso–Pruso–Hpruso road, as the terrorist military is carrying out heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes in the area.
The military column has been advancing along the Demoso–Pruso–Hpruso road, leading to daily clashes. The junta has been using drones, dropping bombs, firing heavy artillery, and conducting aerial attacks.
Therefore, civilians are strongly urged to exercise caution and avoid using the Demoso–Pruso–Hpruso road for travel or business in order to prevent unnecessary harm.
In urgent cases where travel is unavoidable, the Karenni Joint Forces Military Command urged civilians to first inquire with resistance battalions and allied units in the area, who can provide reliable and accurate updates on the security situation.
Additionally, the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) announced on September 23 that starting from that date, the Loikaw–Demoso–Pruso–Bawlakhe highway and the Pruso–Hpruso–Nanphe road, including all connecting routes, will remain closed indefinitely.
Since August, the terrorist junta has been launching large-scale offensives from Demoso toward Pruso. Throughout September, junta columns in Pruso have reinforced with supplies, ammunition, and manpower, pushing their operations toward Bawlakhe. As a result, clashes remain intense, according to military sources.

🚩🚩 2. Pa-O National Federal Council (PNFC) vows to resist military dictatorship in line with Pa-O liberation and federal struggle guidelines
September 24
The Pa-O National Federal Council (PNFC) has declared that it will continue to follow the guidelines of the Pa-O liberation and federal struggle and join the fight against the military dictatorship.
The announcement was made today, September 24, on the 50th anniversary of Pa-O Martyrs’ Day.
Pa-O Martyrs’ Day commemorates the death of Hpa Bwa Hla Phay, the great Pa-O revolutionary leader, who was killed near Pintone village on September 24, 1975, while marching to organize a Pa-O National Congress for the revolution, gathering resistance forces from across the highlands.
Although Hpa Bwa Hla Phay died resisting the military dictatorship, the federal democratic union envisioned not only by the Pa-O but also by all ethnic nationalities has yet to be achieved. The PNFC stated that this struggle has now continued into the third generation.
The PNFC reaffirmed that the Pa-O people will work together with allied revolutionary forces to build new states and advance the collective political goals agreed upon by ethnic nationalities.
The council emphasized its commitment to the “Bottom-up Federalism Approach” advocated by Pa-O martyrs, declaring:
- “The federal cause is the Pa-O cause, and the Pa-O cause is the federal cause.”
- “The Pa-O will stand as a force in the eradication of unjust oppressive systems.”

🚩🚩 3. Karen Youth Organization (KYO): Junta’s planned election is a sham to conceal atrocities and prolong dictatorship
September 24
The Karen Youth Organization (KYO) has condemned the upcoming junta-organized election as a sham designed to cover up atrocities committed against the people and to give life to the oppressive military dictatorship.
In a statement, the KYO described junta leader Min Aung Hlaing as a “tyrant,” holding him responsible for crimes such as arbitrary arrests, torture, sexual violence, arson, killings, and daily bombings of civilian homes, schools, hospitals, and religious buildings across the country.
The KYO warned that participation in this sham election would only worsen the suffering of the people, push the country further into destruction, and place participants on the wrong side of history as supporters of the dictatorship.
The statement called on Karen youth and the general public to boycott and resist the junta’s election. It further pledged that Karen youth, together with allied youth movements, will launch resistance campaigns against the sham election through various means.
