🚩🚩 1. SAC Bombings in Dawei District Kill 2 Civilians and Injure 5 Others
In Tanintharyi Region’s Dawei District, the SAC carried out bombings across several areas in Dawei, Launglon, and Tharyar Chaung townships. According to the Dawei District Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC), these attacks killed 2 civilians and injured 5 more.
On September 17, at around 11:00 a.m., the SAC bombed multiple villages: Pakari, Pakhut, and Yay Wine in Dawei Township; Kin Shay, Uttu, Sawphya, and Me Nao Oe in Tharyar Chaung Township; and Wedi, Thapyay Shaung, Kyet Yet Twin, and Kyauk Twin villages in Launglon Township.
During the airstrikes, Daw Tin Shin (about 60 years old) and her son-in-law Ko Way Yan Phyo (age 34) from Wedi village were killed. Injured were U Yu Sein (60), his 30-year-old daughter, two grandchildren under 10 years old, and another young child.
The injured were taken to hospital, with some reported to be in critical condition.
The DDMSC stated that the SAC used a Y-12 transport aircraft and dropped 120 mm bombs. They emphasized that the attacks targeted civilian villages deliberately, without any clashes taking place, amounting to war crimes committed against the civilian population.

🚩🚩 2. 9-Year-Old Girl Killed by SAC Heavy Artillery in Hpakant, 4 Others Injured
In Kachin State’s Hpakant Township, Sin Taung village tract, U Htet Ma Shaw Shan village, SAC troops fired heavy artillery shells. One shell killed a 9-year-old girl and injured 4 others.
The incident occurred on September 17 at around 4:00 p.m., when the SAC indiscriminately shelled the mountain road between Sin Taung and U Htet Ma Shaw Shan.
The explosion killed Ma May Myat Noe Thwel (age 9) instantly, while four others—including her younger sister—were injured.
Just days earlier, on September 9, the SAC also fired about 20 artillery shells into the Buddhist monastery of San Kywel village, Hpakant Township, injuring 10 civilians.

🚩🚩 3. Landmine Attack on SAC Infantry in Chaung U Township Kills 8 Soldiers
In Sagaing Region’s Chaung U Township, Monywa District, the People’s Defence Force – South Monywa reported that they ambushed an SAC infantry column with landmines, killing 8 soldiers.
On September 17 at 11:19 a.m., a column of about 70 SAC troops left the Nat Yekan checkpoint. They were ambushed with a cluster of two blast mines between Nat Yekan and Yay Poe Sar. Five soldiers were killed instantly, and many others were wounded.
At around 11:24 a.m. the same day, another column of 30 SAC troops leaving the Gway Taw Pin checkpoint in Min Mu Township was similarly ambushed with a cluster of three blast mines between Nat Yekan and Yay Poe Sar. This second attack killed 3 more soldiers and left many others injured.
The operations were carried out by the South Monywa PDF, under Monywa District Military Command, Strategic Command-64, Battalion-11.

🚩🚩 4. Attack on Convoy Accompanying Sin Paung Wae Township Police Chief Leaves 3 Dead
In Sin Paung Wae Township, Thayet District of Magway Region, a convoy escorting the township police chief was ambushed. Three security personnel—police and soldiers—were killed instantly, according to Thayet District PDF Battalion-5.
The attack took place on September 13 at 7:54 a.m. along the Koe Pin – Thagaya road in Sin Paung Wae Township. The ambush was carried out by Thayet District PDF Battalion-5.
Three soldiers and police officers were killed on the spot, while the township police chief and several others sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at Magway General Hospital.

🚩🚩 5. PDF Military Region (2) Holds Graduation Ceremony for Field Management and Leadership Training
On September 17, the Ministry of Defence of the NUG announced that the People’s Defence Force (PDF) of Military Region (2) held a graduation ceremony for its Field Management and Leadership Training Course.
The ceremony was attended by Military Region (2) Commander Ye Baw Tin Oo, other responsible officials, and trainees. The training was the 11th weekly field management and leadership course, first announced on June 1.

🚩🚩 6. Three Conscripts from LID-60 and One Soldier from SNA Defect with Weapons to Resistance Forces
On September 14 at 5:00 p.m., three conscripted soldiers from SAC’s Light Infantry Division (LID) 60 defected to the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Battalion 9 in Le Daw Township, Kawkareik District, under the Karen National Union (KNU).
The defectors were:
- Win Htun (28), a villager forced into service after paying 700,000 kyats for exemption,
- Maung Shine Min (31), and
- Maung Win Htet Aung (30) from LID-590.
They were graduates of the 11th conscription training course. Although they could not bring weapons due to various difficulties, local authorities provided them with clothing and food supplies and are keeping them safe.
Similarly, in Sagaing Region’s Banmauk Township, on September 8, Maung Aung Min Lwin from the Shan Nationalities Army (SNA) Battalion-15 (under SNA Battalion-614) defected to the local PDF with arms and ammunition. He surrendered with an AK assault rifle and 220 rounds.
On September 13, Banmauk Township PDF (Pa Ka Pha) organized a ceremony to honor him at their office (A-1 Hill).
As part of the ceremony, he received a total honor award of 7.9 million kyats:
- 500,000 kyats from U Chit Ya,
- 1 million kyats from PDF Battalion-4 in Katha District,
- 1 million kyats from Banmauk Pa Ka Pha,
- 300,000 kyats from Ko Naing Oo group,
- 100,000 kyats from U Min Min and Daw Sa Oo,
- 4 million kyats from local businessmen, and
- 1 million kyats from Banmauk Pa Ka Pha.
