🚩🚩 1. Over 20 Junta Soldiers Killed and At Least 15 Injured After Military Aircraft Accidentally Bombed Its Own Troops in Kyaukme

September 16

In Kyaukme Township, northern Shan State, which is under the control of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), a junta aircraft mistakenly bombed, killing more than 20 soldiers and injuring at least 13, according to local sources and residents of northern Shan State.

The Y-12 military aircraft reportedly dropped bombs on a monastery near Naung Pain village, where junta soldiers had stationed, resulting in heavy casualties among the soldiers.

This incident occurred on September 14, according to frontline sources cited by Danu Nation’s Voice.

Local residents speculated that the junta aircraft may have mistakenly targeted its own forces, confusing them with resistance forces, as it dropped bombs on junta troops stationed at a monastery between Kyaukme and Naung Pain on September 14 at midday.

The junta is currently attempting to retake control of Kyaukme town. Fierce clashes have been reported between the junta forces and the TNLA in the areas near Pintaing and Khaik Tun Hon villages, along the Naung Pain–Kyaukme road.

Due to high casualties among junta troops during these battles, the military has been carrying out continuous daily airstrikes on conflict areas, locals reported.

The junta column advancing from Naung Pain toward Kyaukme is now about eight miles away from Kyaukme. As a result, local residents of Kyaukme town and nearby villages have begun fleeing for safety.

🚩🚩 2. Six Civilians Returning From Shwe Hmone Captured, Beaten, and Burned Alive by Junta Soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee Militia in Singu

September 16

The Khin-U Kanbalu Activists Group – Kanbalu District reported that six civilians returning from Shwe Hmone in Singu Township, Mandalay Region, were captured, beaten, and burned alive by junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militia.

On the evening of September 12, seven civilians returning from Shwe Hmone were captured near Buu Kone junction, close to the Shwebo–Myitkyina strategic road in Kanbalu Township, by junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militia. They were tied up, beaten, and later burned alive.

Among the seven, a 15-year-old boy managed to escape. He said that two of the victims were underage youths.

The seven men, originally from Ngepyaw Tine Ywar Haung, had gone to Shwe Hmone for work but, facing difficulties, attempted to return on September 9. At about 8:00 a.m., they left Shwebo by motorcycle, traveling along the Shwebo–Myitkyina strategic road toward Kanbalu. At Buu Kone junction, between Yekyi Oo and Buu Kone villages, they were stopped, beaten, and captured at a Pyu Saw Htee checkpoint.

The escaped youth testified that the junta kept the captives for four days, subjecting them to continuous torture. On the evening of September 12, they were tied together, forced onto a pile of tires, and burned alive.

He further explained that all seven were tied at the wrists, forced onto the tire pile, beaten on the head with sticks to prevent escape, and then burned alive.

The six victims included U Lay Soe Tint (45), Ko Chit The Maung (23), Ko Than Zaw Tun (23), Ko Ri Wai Moe (18), Moe Thet Kha (16), and Chan Phyo Wai (14).

For nearly a month, junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee militias have been conducting raids in Kanbalu Township, burning villages, arresting, torturing, and killing innocent civilians, according to military reports.

The junta is attempting to secure full control over the Shwebo–Myitkyina strategic road. It has set up checkpoints at Yekyi Oo, Buu Kone junction, and Zee Kone–Malel junction. Due to the ongoing arrests and killings of civilians, the Khin-U Kanbalu Activists Group – Kanbalu District has warned travelers to remain extremely cautious.

🚩🚩 3. Terrorist Junta Bombs Mogok Town With Two 250-Pound Bombs From the Air

September 16

The terrorist junta dropped two 250-pound bombs on Mogok town, Mandalay Region, despite there being no clashes in the area. The airstrike injured a woman and destroyed five houses, according to a TNLA statement.

At around 7:08 a.m. on September 16, the junta deliberately carried out an aerial attack on civilians in Oak Kone ward of Mogok town.

The airstrike left a woman injured, destroyed five houses, and damaged one vehicle.

According to military records, the terrorist junta has conducted at least five airstrikes on Mogok in August alone, causing civilian casualties and widespread destruction.

So far in September, the junta has carried out three airstrikes on Kyaukme, one on Thibaw (Hsipaw), and one on Mogok—townships under TNLA control—injuring a man and a woman and destroying 12 houses and one school building.

Observers note that the junta continues to declare martial law and conduct relentless ground and air offensives in areas where it has lost control, in order to secure conditions for holding elections to legitimize its power.

For this reason, TNLA and other revolutionary forces have urged the public to maintain constant vigilance, take precautions against aerial attacks, and implement air defense measures to safeguard against junta bombings.
