🚩🚩 1. CRPH issues a message on the 77th Karenni National Martyrs’ Day, urging all revolutionary forces to remain united and avoid the divisive plots of the military dictators
September 8
The Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) has issued a message on the occasion of the 77th Karenni National Martyrs’ Day, calling on all revolutionary forces to beware of and avoid the divisive plots of the military dictators, and to maintain unity and solidarity among themselves.
The message stated:
“Karenni National Martyrs’ Day has been commemorated since September 8, 1948, the day when Chairman of the Karenni National Organization and prominent revolutionary leader Goba Thura was assassinated by the expansionist fascist government. Today marks the 77th anniversary of that historic event. Together with the people, we honor and pay deep respect to Karenni leader Goba Thura and all Karenni martyrs who gave their lives and fought throughout the course of the Karenni revolution.”
The message further emphasized that the terrorist military junta, the common enemy of all ethnic nationalities, continues to change names and create various fronts in an attempt to sustain its rule and destroy the Union. The junta is now staging an illegal sham election as a façade to seek international recognition. Therefore, it is especially crucial for all revolutionary forces to approach this matter with utmost seriousness.
The CRPH stated that it will always uphold the spirit of the fallen martyrs, and will continue to work in cooperation not only with all ethnic nationalities but also with all revolutionary forces, striving persistently until the Spring Revolution achieves victory.
The CRPH also urged all revolutionary forces to avoid falling into the junta’s divisive traps, to respect and trust one another, and to unite in solidarity. By inheriting the spirit of the martyrs, they must continue advancing towards the common goal. This was the essence of the message issued today on the 77th Karenni National Martyrs’ Day.
