🚩🚩 1. Nearly 30 reported killed in rocket attack on Pyin Nyaung Military Combat Training School

According to Brave Warrior for Myanmar (BWM), nearly 30 people were killed when the Pyin Nyaung Combat Training School of the junta’s Military Commission Forces (Army) in Pyin Nyaung military town, Thanton Township, Bago Region, was attacked with short-range rockets.
On August 26, BWM, MKCDF, ACPLF, and the 5th Battalion of KNLA Brigade 2 launched nine short-range rockets at the training school.
Reports state that the deputy principal’s residence was hit, causing the house to catch fire. The deputy principal sustained severe injuries, and three soldiers inside the residence were killed instantly.
A classroom building was also struck, where more than 20 officer trainees were killed on the spot, and over 50 others were injured. The classroom structure and equipment were severely damaged.
Additionally, two dormitories were hit, killing six people, including the dormitory warden. Both dormitories were destroyed in the fire.
The attack also damaged two heavy artillery gun positions, three vehicles, and various teaching equipment and furnishings.

🚩🚩 2. Explosion used as warning at mock election polling demonstration in Salin

The Kyarpauk Urban Guerrilla (UG) group announced that it carried out a warning blast with a sound mine at a site in Salin, Minbu District, Magway Region, where the junta’s election commission was staging a mock polling demonstration for its sham elections.
At 3:30 p.m. on August 31, a sound mine was detonated inside the General Administration Department office and Salin Basic Education High School No. 1, where the mock polling was being conducted.
The attack was jointly carried out by the Salin Urban Guerrilla (UG) Kyarpauk group and the Salin People’s Security (PaLaFa) temporary unit.
The groups issued a warning that anyone who collaborates with, supports, or participates in enabling the junta’s illegal sham election will face serious punitive action.

🚩🚩 3. Junta airstrike on IDP camp in Demoso injures three civilians; residents flee after ground offensive

At around 8:40 a.m. on September 1, a junta Y-12 aircraft dropped bombs on an IDP camp in western Demoso Township, Kayah State, injuring two displaced children and one woman, according to Jobs for Kayah.
There were no clashes in the area and no military bases nearby, indicating that the junta deliberately targeted a civilian IDP camp.
Later in the day, a junta ground column advanced from Ngwe Taung Dam towards Pado Ngon village, shelling the area with heavy artillery. As a result, residents from Pado Ngon and Kwaing Nyaung New Village fled urgently for safety.

🚩🚩 4. Civilian man shot dead in Hpakant; child killed and four civilians injured in Waimaw amid junta attacks

According to local reports, on the morning of September 1, a man in his 30s was shot dead near Sukha Clinic, in Mashi Khtaung Ward, Hpakant, Kachin State.
In addition, on August 31, junta forces arrested a motorcycle workshop owner, three apprentices, and civilians from two passing cars in Kyaukwi, Hpakant.
Meanwhile, between August 27 and September 1, junta troops carried out six consecutive days of airstrikes and artillery attacks on villages in Waimaw Township, Kachin State.
As a result, a six-year-old displaced child named Ma Khawng Naw was killed. Ma Zay Nwe (25), Ma Zay Yan (15), and U Tain Bawm (36) were injured.
Reports indicate that from around 10 a.m. on September 1, junta forces continued bombing villages across Waimaw Township.

🚩🚩 5. 46 civilians killed in TNLA-controlled areas during August due to junta airstrikes, artillery, and drone attacks

The Palaung State Liberation Front / Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) announced that during August, a total of 46 civilians — including monks, nuns, and children — were killed in Kyaukme, Mongmit, Mongngawt, Hsipaw, and Namtu townships (areas under TNLA control) due to the junta’s airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks.
- Kyaukme Township:
- 2 dead: one monk and one man.
- 13 injured: three monks, six men, four women.
- Damage: 40 houses, one building, one school, five monasteries, and four vehicles.
- Mongmit Township:
- 41 dead: two monks, four children, 18 men, and 17 women.
- 25 injured: one monk, 20 men, and four women.
- Damage: 38 houses, one building, six monasteries, three cars, and three motorcycles.
- Hsipaw Township:
- 4 injured: two women and two men.
- Damage: 14 houses.
- Namtu Township:
- 2 dead: one nun and one woman.
- 6 injured: two monks, three novices, and one man.
- Damage: four houses, five school buildings, and one Dhamma hall.
- Mongngawt Township:
- 1 child killed.
- 7 injured: two men, three novices, and two women.
- Damage: 12 houses, four school buildings, and one monastery.
