πŸ“ŒπŸ“Œ 3. Arakan Army Urges Greater Vigilance Against Junta’s Air, Naval, and Heavy Artillery Attacks

September 29 – Radio NUG

The Arakan Army (AA) has urged the local population in Arakan (Rakhine) Region to exercise greater vigilance than before regarding the junta’s airstrikes, naval attacks, and heavy artillery shelling, and to maintain full wartime alertness at all times.

According to the AA, junta forces are suffering heavy casualties and losses in the battles ongoing in Arakan Region and in three adjacent areas, with their units collapsing. Their forcibly conscripted members, unwilling to fight, are frequently surrendering, defecting, deserting, or raising white flags whenever opportunities arise, both at the frontlines and in the rear.

Facing severe battlefield losses, the junta’s military has intensified indiscriminate air, naval, and heavy artillery strikes, targeting towns and villages without active clashes. Locations being struck include schools, markets, hospitals, clinics, monasteries, and other sites considered possible gathering places of civilians, with attacks occurring both day and night.

Therefore, the AA emphasized that civilians in the region must remain more alert than ever to the junta’s air, naval, and artillery attacks and must maintain full situational awareness at all times.

These news updates were reported by Radio NUG correspondents Khur Shel and Padeh Phoe.
