NUG Acting President Duwa Lashi La stated that he discussed three key issues—including the urgent humanitarian crisis faced by the Myanmar people—with Kim Aris, the youngest son of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

He explained that the online meeting with Kim Aris took place today, September 14.

Duwa Lashi La described the meeting as one that affirmed unity for building a federal democratic nation and reaffirmed their shared determination to end military dictatorship and establish a genuine Federal Democratic Union of Myanmar.

The discussion with Kim Aris covered:

  • the urgent humanitarian crisis faced by the Myanmar people,
  • the need for strong, responsible, and accountable leadership that can earn the trust of Myanmar citizens, and
  • the immediate and unconditional release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners as the first step toward a peaceful political transition.

📌📌 2. NUG Acting President and Kim Aris warn the terrorist military to stop its brutal attacks against civilians
September 14

NUG Acting President Duwa Lashi La and Kim Aris, the youngest son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, warned the terrorist military to stop its violent attacks against civilians.

They issued this warning during their online meeting this morning, September 14.

They highlighted the terrorist junta’s airstrike on two private high schools—“Pan Khin Education Center” and “New Vision”—in Tharyetapin Village, Kyauktaw Township, Rakhine State.

Both Duwa Lashi La and Kim Aris expressed deep sorrow that young students had lost their lives as a result of the junta’s bombing.

They pointed out that the attack occurred just after midnight while students were sleeping, cruelly shattering their innocent dreams.

They also reiterated that the unconditional release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners is the essential first step toward building a peaceful federal democratic union. Kim Aris emphasized this again in his social media post.

He further stated that ending military dictatorship and establishing a federal Myanmar is the strong and united will of all.

Therefore, Duwa Lashi La and Kim Aris called for the terrorist junta to immediately halt its brutal attacks against civilians in the lead-up to its planned sham election.

They also urged all Myanmar people to work together in unity to achieve long-term freedom, dignity, and justice.

The Arakan Army (AA) has also declared that it will deliver a strong response to the junta’s airstrike that killed Rakhine civilians and students.

Reports indicate that discussions with Kim Aris also touched on the urgent need for humanitarian protection, new trustworthy leadership, and responsible governance to secure public confidence.

It is worth noting that Kim Aris (Ko Htein Lin), son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, also met on September 6 with AA Commander-in-Chief Twan Mrat Naing, where they agreed to continue striving for a federal democratic Myanmar in which all people can live peacefully and with dignity.
