📌📌 1. Arakan Army met with Commander-in-Chief Tun Myat Naing, says Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s son

September 6

The Arakan Army held an online meeting with Commander-in-Chief General Tun Myat Naing, according to Ko Htein Lin, also known as Kim Aris, the son of people’s leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. He revealed this today, September 6.

Under the heading “A Strong and United Force for a Federal Myanmar”, Kim Aris made the announcement through his social media page.

Although the exact date of the meeting was not mentioned, it is understood to have taken place online recently.

During the meeting, General Tun Myat Naing reportedly expressed his deep respect for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and voiced concern for her health. He firmly stated that without the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and other political prisoners, it would be impossible to build a genuine and trustworthy peace, according to Kim Aris.

Kim Aris further mentioned that he praised and commended General Tun Myat Naing and his forces for the significant successes they had achieved within a short period of time.

He also noted that through this meeting, he gained a deeper understanding of the conflicts and hardships faced by the Arakanese people during times of war and displacement. He remarked that their resilience and endurance serve as a reminder of the urgent need for unity and cooperation across all of Myanmar.

According to Kim Aris, the meeting concluded with a shared commitment between the two sides to stand as trusted allies, to support one another, and to continue striving for a federal democratic Myanmar where everyone can live peacefully and with dignity.

📌📌 2. Myanmar Lawyers’ Council demands four key actions, including timely disclosure of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health condition

September 6

The Myanmar Lawyers’ Council has called on the junta to take four actions, including making public Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health condition in a timely manner.

In a statement issued today, September 6, the Council urged the junta, in line with the law, to disclose accurate information regarding the health condition of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi — the State Counsellor and people’s leader currently detained in prison.

The Council had already declared on June 14 this year that the arrest, detention, and sentencing of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi were unlawful.

At present, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, aged 80, is suffering from severe heart disease. However, she has been denied visitation rights and any communication with the outside world, leaving uncertainty about whether she is receiving adequate healthcare, the Council said.

The Council emphasized that, regardless of circumstances, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights all stipulate the rights to which every citizen is entitled.

In addition, Section 37(2) of the Prisons Act requires that when a prisoner is in poor health, prison authorities must immediately provide proper and sufficient medical treatment.

Since Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health is in a concerning state, the Council urged, in accordance with the law, that:

  1. She be granted immediate access to meet with her family members or a lawyer,
  2. She receive timely and adequate medical treatment,
  3. Her health condition be publicly announced in real time, and
  4. She be allowed to meet with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representatives upon request.

📌📌 4. People’s Unity Army launches aid program for war-displaced civilians

September 6

The People’s Unity Army announced today that it has initiated an aid program for war-displaced civilians in the western parts of Ayeyarwady, Magway, and Bago Regions, as well as in its own operating areas in ethnic regions.

The group stated that as the junta intensifies military operations against revolutionary forces and civilian populations — including attacks, airstrikes, and heavy artillery shelling — the number of war-displaced people has been rising sharply, creating urgent humanitarian needs.

To address this, the People’s Unity Army, together with the Department of Public Relief of the People’s Unity Army, the Ayeyarwady Youths’ Union (AYU), the Public Servants’ Union (PSU), and the All Nationalities Youth League for Democracy (ANYLD), has launched a joint program to provide assistance to war-displaced civilians.

It is reported that support will focus specifically on displaced populations in western Ayeyarwady, Magway, and Bago Regions, as well as in ethnic regions where the People’s Unity Army operates, since they are forced to flee from the junta troops of fascist leader Min Aung Hlaing, who are carrying out offensives, air bombings, and indiscriminate heavy artillery fire.

The program, under the operational name For Our Peoples, will organize campaigns and fundraising activities to provide support for displaced civilians. The group appealed to people from all communities both inside the country and abroad to contribute as much as they can.

📌📌 5. Eighteen Workers Dismissed from Bangkok Cycle Industrial Co., Ltd. in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, Assisted After Filing Complaint

September 6

Eighteen workers employed at Bangkok Cycle Industrial Co., Ltd. in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, were dismissed on the grounds that their work permits had expired and supporting documents were no longer valid. Following their appeal for assistance, representatives from the Ministry of Labour of the National Unity Government (NUG), along with members of the allied group MHAC, met with the affected workers to provide support, according to reports.

Upon thorough investigation, it was found that the workers had each paid 3,000 Baht to the factory’s clerical staff at the start of their employment to facilitate employer transfer (change of sponsorship). However, this was never properly processed, and on July 15, their work permits expired, preventing renewal. As a result, the factory owner stopped assigning them work and formally terminated their employment.

The case was filed at the Sawasdee Khan Office in Nakhon Pathom, and on July 25, a formal complaint was submitted at the Khunhan Office to pursue renewal of their work permits.

On August 25, at the Sawasdee Khan Office in Nakhon Pathom, the factory owner and clerical staff returned the employer transfer fees—54,000 Baht each—to the workers. In addition, on September 3, the employer also paid 87,048 Baht in severance compensation for wrongful dismissal.

Altogether, the workers successfully received a total of 141,048 Baht that they were entitled to, thanks to the coordinated efforts on their behalf.
