🚩🚩 1. At Least 20 Houses Burned Down by PNO Militias Led by Crony Nay Win Tun in Naung Bo Village, Hsihseng Township

On August 18, the PNLA released a statement, with video evidence, confirming that Naung Bo Village in Hsihseng Township was set on fire by PNO militias led by military-backed crony Nay Win Tun.
At least 20 homes were destroyed in the blaze. PNLA reported that its reconnaissance unit obtained drone footage as evidence, showing houses still burning after the PNO militia set them on fire.
Reports indicate that military council troops, together with PNO militias under Nay Win Tun, who launched an offensive into the Naung Thaw area, are continuing to burn villages — including Naung Thaw, Naung Bo, and Ta Pu Tho — as of today.

🚩🚩 2. Junta Troops Abandon Tamai Taung Outpost in Laemula Township, Myeik District

According to the Karen National Union (KNU), all junta troops from Infantry Battalion 285, stationed at the Tamai Taung outpost in Aung Pu (Infone) village tract, Laemula Township, Myeik District, fled the base on August 17, 2025.
The KNU explained that the outpost was abandoned after one month of siege and supply-cutting operations conducted by the Karen National Defence Organization (KNDO) Battalion 7, Company 5, in cooperation with the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) special forces.
Following the retreat, KNDO Battalion 7, Company 5, and KNLA special forces cleared and secured the outpost, bringing it back under their control.

🚩🚩 3. SOUTHERN EAGLE PDF Battalion to Recruit Exactly 100 New Trainees

The P29909 SOUTHERN EAGLE People’s Defence Force (PDF) Battalion announced that it will recruit exactly 100 new trainees.
As a MOD-affiliated battalion, SOUTHERN EAGLE PDF stated its strong commitment to uprooting the dictatorship and called for new, determined recruits to join its ranks.
It also pledged to provide necessary military equipment and supplies, warmly welcoming those ready to fight until the revolution is successfully completed.
Requirements for applicants include:
- Must be in good health,
- Able to attend basic military training,
- Capable of enduring hardship,
- Willing to cut off contact with family, relatives, and loved ones during training,
- Aged between 18 and 35 years.

🚩🚩 4. Seized Narcotics Burned in Kantbalu Township
August 18
In Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region, seized narcotic drugs were incinerated and destroyed.
According to Kantbalu People’s Administrative Committee (PAC), the destruction was carried out in the presence of district and township officials along with local witnesses.
This marked the first official destruction of illegal narcotics in the township after the conclusion of related court cases. The burned drugs included:
- 88 soap cases of heroin,
- 2 viss 25 kyats (approximately 3.5 kg) of raw opium,
- 5,600 WY methamphetamine tablets.
Most of these narcotics were seized from civilians exploited by the terrorist junta and from its associated traffickers. Authorities confirmed that further legal action is being taken in accordance with the law.
