🚩🚩 1. NUG Military Tribunal Chair: Establishing the Federal Army requires strict adherence to military law, with no one above the law
The Chair of the National Unity Government (NUG) Military Tribunal stated that, in the process of establishing the People’s Defense Force (PDF) and People’s Defense Groups under the Ministry of Defense as a Federal Army, strict inspections and enforcement actions are being carried out in accordance with military law, and no one will be allowed to place themselves above the law.
“Our armed forces are only a foundation for the emergence of the Federal Army. Therefore, for the honor of the nation, the honor of the military, and the honor of the revolution, all armed resistance forces that have participated in the armed struggle must strictly adhere to laws, orders, instructions, and regulations without deviation,” he said.
“As armed resistance forces, it is necessary to see yourselves as an army facing the people, and to conduct yourselves accordingly. You must live and act in full compliance with the laws that have been enacted. Therefore, we will act in accordance with the law, and no one will be allowed to be above it,” he emphasized.

🚩🚩 2. Military junta airstrike on Pin Paw Village, Kyaukme Township, without any battle occurring
The PSLF/TNLA reported that the military junta carried out an airstrike on Pin Paw Village, Kyaukme Township, in the TNLA Brigade 2-controlled area of northern Shan State, without any battle taking place.
On the morning of August 13, a jet fighter dropped two 250-pound bombs without provocation, destroying two civilian homes.
In addition, on August 12, drone attacks targeted Myauk Kone San Village and Shukhin Thar in Naung Cho Township, dropping 21 bombs and firing 31 rounds from a Howitzer.
Earlier, on August 4, a junta jet fighter dropped a 500-pound bomb on Kyaukme town, injuring three women and damaging a private high school, a clinic, three houses, and a car.

🚩🚩 3. Junta–PNO joint forces kill a civilian and burn down Palaung villages
The PNLA reported that a joint military column of the junta and its subordinate PNO People’s Militia killed a civilian and burned down Palaung villages.
The joint column, which began its offensive on August 5, was resisted by the PNLA for over a week in Naung Kyaw and Taung Shay village tracts of Hsihseng Township.
Although around 100 junta and PNO militia troops were reportedly killed during the clashes, the joint forces used overwhelming troop strength to continue their offensive, forcing the PNLA to withdraw from areas near Naung Htaw and Kaung Htaw villages.
During the fighting, the junta troops also bombed PNLO/PNLA headquarters and nearby civilian villages.
On August 9, the joint forces burned down at least 24 houses in Naung Htaw Gyi Village (Kyain Quarter) and Naung Htaw (Kular Lane) Village.
Furthermore, PNO militia troops killed a 38-year-old man from Selaung Htaw Village, and over 2,000 civilians were forced to flee to safety.

🚩🚩 4. Five junta soldiers killed in guerrilla attack near Myingyan
The Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) force reported that a guerrilla-style attack on a junta column near Myingyan town, Mandalay Region, killed five soldiers.
On August 12, a junta column of about 300 troops entered MBT’s Strategic Zone 2 in three separate groups, prompting MBT forces to launch a guerrilla counterattack.
At around 9 a.m., two MBT fighters infiltrated within 30 meters of a junta outpost and opened fire at close range.
The attack killed five junta soldiers and severely injured two others. MBT headquarters announced that the two fighters who successfully infiltrated enemy lines and carried out the operation would be awarded the “Outstanding Soldier Award.”
MBT noted that, although they had to relinquish control of some territories due to ammunition shortages, they are continuing to engage the enemy using guerrilla tactics.

🚩🚩 5. Drone attack on junta troops extorting money from travelers between Chaung-U and Nat Yekan on the Monywa–Mandalay Road
The Yae Nagar People’s Defense Force reported that they attacked junta troops who were seated at a roadside camp between Chaung-U and Nat Yekan along the Monywa–Mandalay Road, where they were forcibly and illegally extorting money from passing travelers.
Two drone strikes were carried out — the first with one 4-kg bomb and the second with four 1-kg bombs. The attack injured five junta soldiers, though the number of fatalities could not yet be confirmed.
It was learned that this operation was jointly conducted by the Yae Nagar People’s Defense Force, Monywa District Battalion (8), Company (3), and Myaung T.G.R.

🚩🚩 6. Second anniversary and graduation ceremony of the Special Operation Group (SOG) Battalion
The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) announced that the People’s Defense Force (PDF) Battalion P29916 — Special Operation Group (SOG) — held its 2nd founding anniversary and graduation ceremony on August 13 at its stationary base in Bago Region.
The ceremony included paying respects to the PDF flag, reciting the oath of allegiance, an opening speech by the SOG Battalion Commander, commemorative remarks by the Commander of Strategy Unit No. 37, and remarks by the Deputy Battalion Commander marking the second anniversary of the battalion’s founding. Fallen revolutionary heroes from the battalion were honored with a wreath-laying ceremony and a one-minute moment of silence.
Following this, awards were presented to the graduating trainees, an appreciation speech was delivered by the training instructor, and the graduates took their pledge and drank the oath water.
The SOG Battalion was first established on August 13, 2023, and has since carried out numerous base seizure battles and military operations in the southern part of Kawkareik Township, Brigade 6 area, Karen State.

🚩🚩 7. Ranger Kalay People’s Defense Force recruiting new trainees
The Ranger Kalay People’s Defense Force announced that they are recruiting new trainees to serve as soldiers in the revolution until the victory of the Spring Revolution.
Requirements for applicants include: being at least 18 years old; being in good health; being able to serve until the end of the revolution; accepting the principles of hierarchical military discipline; being able to train, practice, and serve in the territories designated by the battalion; respecting and following the rules, regulations, and frameworks set by the battalion; and being able to competently fulfill assigned duties.

🚩🚩 8. Women’s military service weekly training program launched
The Myanmar Defense & Security Institute (MDSI) reported, citing internal military sources, that the junta’s military is conducting a women’s military service training program at the No. 4 Women’s Non-Commissioned Officer and Clerk Training School (YaKaTha-4) in Hmawbi Township.
The training, which has been tightly controlled to avoid any leaks, has been running for about two months under the name “Weekly Batch 1.”
YaKaTha-4 is a women’s military training school that regularly conducts training for female sergeant/clerk positions as well as basic new female soldier courses.
It is reported that, for the women’s military service training program, the junta has been conducting screenings and arrests of young women nationwide, compiling lists according to city wards and villages, and forcibly conscripting them. These forced conscription activities have led to reports of young women going missing in Yangon and certain other areas.
