တရုုတ္ျပည္က ဧရာ၀တီျမစ္ဆုုံမွာဆည္ေဆာက္ေနတာဟာ ျမန္မာျပည္ရဲ့ သဘာ၀ေဘးအႏၱရာယ္သာမက တမ်ဳိးသားလုုံးရဲ့ လူမႈဘ၀ေတြ၊အနာဂတ္ေတြပါ ထိခုုိက္ပ်က္စီးတယ္ဆိုုျပီး ျမန္မာျပည္သူတိုု႔က အေရးဆိုုကန္႔ကြက္ေနၾကတာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ေျမြပူရာ ကင္းေမွာက္ကေတာ့ ၾကံ့ဖြံ႔အစုုိးရ၀န္ၾကီးဦးေဇာ္မင္းက ျမစ္ဆုုံစီမံကိန္းေတြကိုု ျမန္မာျပည္သူေတြရဲ့ ဆန္႔က်င္တဲ့တခဲနက္သေဘာထားကိုု ဥပကၡာျပဳျပီး တရုုတ္ျပည္နဲ႔ သေဘာတူ စီမံခ်က္မ်ားအတိုုင္းေရွ႔ဆက္တိုုးမယ္လိုု႔ အာဏာရွင္ဆန္စြာ စိန္ေခၚလိုုက္တာက ေၾကာင့္ျမန္မာျပည္တြင္းေရးဟာ တရုုတ္ျပည္ရဲ့ က်ဴးေက်ာ္မႈအေရးအျဖစ္ပါ အေရးေပၚျဖစ္လာပါတယ္။

ျပည္ပမွာလည္း တရုုတ္ျပည္ဟာလူ႔အခြင့္အေရး၊ ပတ္၀န္းက်င္ထိန္းသိမ္းေရး၊ စီးပြားေရး ကုုန္သြယ္မႈအေရးေတြမွာႏိုုင္ငံတကာကြန္ျမဴနီတီရဲ့ ေမးခြန္းေတြ ကန္႔ကြက္မႈေတြ ရင္ဆိုုင္ေနရတာေၾကာင့္ျပည္ပမွာ ျမန္မာကြန္ျမဴနီတီရဲ့ ဧရာ၀တီ လႈပ္ရွားမႈဟာ တရုုတ္ျပည္ရဲ့ တတိယႏိုုင္ငံေတြအေပၚစီးပြားေရး၊ စြမး္အင္နဲ႔ ႏိုုင္ငံေရးအရ တဖက္သတ္ ၾသဇာလႊမ္းမႈ၊ က်ဴးေက်ာ္မႈေတြကိုုဟန္႔တား ေဖာ္ထုုတ္ ထင္ရွားေစဖိုု႔ အခြင့္အေရးျဖစ္တယ္လိုု႔ ဆိုုႏိုုင္ပါတယ္။

ႏိုုင္ငံတကာကတက္ၾကြလႈပ္ရွားတက္ၾကြသူ ကြန္ျမဴနီတီမ်ဳိးစုုံကိုု ပါ၀င္ လက္တြဲေစခ်င္ရင္ေတာ့ သူတိုု႔တေတြလက္တြဲႏိုုင္ဖိုု႔ အဆင္ေျပမယ့္ အဂၤလိပ္ဘာသာ စာတိုု ေပစ အညႊန္းမ်ား၊ေၾကြးေၾကာ္သံမ်ားကိုု ျပင္ဆင္ေပးတာ၊ လက္ဆင့္ကမ္းတာေတြ လုုပ္ၾကရင္ေကာင္းေပမလားလိုု႔ စဥ္းစားမိျပီး ေအာက္ပါ ဗိုုစာသားမ်ားကိုုစုုေဆာင္းေပးလိုုက္ပါတယ္။ မိတ္ေဆြေတြက လွမ္းျပီး လက္တိုု႔တဲ့ စာေတြ၊အညႊန္းေတြျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ကာတြန္းေတြ စုုျပီး ပုုံႏွိပ္ ထုုတ္ေဖာ္ၾကရင္လည္းေကာင္းတဲ့အကြက္ပါပဲ။

The Irrawaddy River is one of the most importantresources to the people of Burma. Indeed it is the lifeblood of the country. The watershed of the Irrawaddy River spans over 60% of the country, andpeople depend on it for the livelihoods, agricultural production,transportation, and much more. This vital river is facing severe risk becauseof plans to build a series of dams in Kachin state, northern Burma where theriver originates. Chinese companies are working with Burma’s military leadersto build the dams, and all the power generated from the dam will go to China.

Therehas bee strong resistance from the people of Kachin state who will bedrastically affected by this dam. More and more people throughout Burma arealso calling out for a stop to this dam as it will affect the socio-economicsituation of the whole country.

Also,a team of scientists from China and Burma, hired and funded by the Chinesecompany, submitted its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to both Chineseand Burmese authorities in October 2009, in which they recommended theabandonment of the largest project, the Myitsone dam. However, the warnings fromthat report have not had any effect on the ongoing construction.
