He went to Tavoy College and Moulmein University for study Burmese Literature.(There is no journalism in Burma at the time). He became a member of ABSDF (All Burma Students' Democratic Front) after military coup in Sept 18, 1988. He worked 12-years for the ABSDF and 15-years for DVB (Democratic Voice of Burma). He is now a Freelance journalist. He published a book called "Far from Home: 20 Years in Exile" in Thailand in 2008.
