Here are today\u2019s domestic news highlights from m.CDM.<br>Today\u2019s main stories include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Six junta personnel, including two officers, were reportedly killed in an ambush on a military convoy along the Monywa\u2013Mandalay road.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Junta forces are carrying out major offensives along the Kalay\u2013Khampat\u2013Tamu route and in Kyaukphyu Township, using ground, air, and naval operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Inle People\u2019s Defense Force (IPDF) has issued an emergency warning after two of its members were arrested, urging anyone connected to them to relocate for safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The NUG has warned of heavy localized rainfall, flooding, landslides, and riverbank collapses across various states and regions.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Six Junta Personnel Killed in Monywa\u2013Mandalay Road Ambush<br>According to Brave Heart Army (BHA), resistance forces ambushed a junta convoy transporting weapons and ammunition along the Monywa\u2013Mandalay highway on June 7. The attack reportedly killed six military personnel, including two officers, and injured two others.<br>Resistance groups involved in the operation said they seized four firearms and withdrew without casualties.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Junta Launches Intensified Offensives in Khampat and Kyaukphyu<br>Heavy fighting continues along the Kalay\u2013Khampat\u2013Tamu corridor and in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State.<br>Sources say junta forces are attempting to retake Khampat, a town previously captured by resistance groups near the India\u2013Myanmar border. The military is reportedly advancing from both Kalay and Tamu while also deploying newly trained conscripts, the Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA), and Kuki armed groups.<br>In Kyaukphyu, a force of around 400 troops reportedly launched another offensive from the Taung Maw Gyi naval base toward Sane Town after an earlier operation suffered significant losses.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drone Strikes Target Junta Column in Launglon Township<br>Resistance forces carried out a series of drone attacks against a junta military column operating in villages of Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region.<br>According to local resistance groups, a total of 88 drone bombs were dropped during operations conducted between May 22 and June 1. The attacks reportedly caused substantial junta casualties, although exact figures remain under investigation.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three Civilians Killed in Air and Artillery Attacks<br>Three civilians were killed and two others injured in separate military attacks in Mindat, Thayetchaung, and Mawlu.<br>In Mindat, junta aircraft reportedly dropped multiple bombs on eastern parts of the town. In Thayetchaung Township, artillery shells struck a village despite no active fighting in the area, killing three civilians.<br>In Mawlu, drone strikes injured two villagers, while an earlier airstrike on a local defense force camp wounded three resistance fighters.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airstrikes in Kyaukphyu Injure Three Displaced Civilians<br>Three internally displaced persons were injured after junta aircraft bombed three villages in Kyaukphyu Township on the night of June 6.<br>Military sources reported that eight bombs were dropped on Baya, Kalardin, and Thitkatoe villages. Local media also reported additional airstrikes in Ramree Township earlier this month that resulted in civilian casualties and property damage.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IPDF Issues Emergency Alert Following Arrest of Two Members<br>The Inle People\u2019s Defense Force (IPDF) has urged anyone connected to two arrested members to relocate immediately due to concerns over possible follow-up arrests.<br>The group stated that the two members were detained on June 8 after being identified through information allegedly provided by military informants. IPDF warned that the military is attempting to track and arrest additional resistance supporters.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KIA Closes Main Access Roads to Shwegu<br>The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has indefinitely closed major roads leading into Shwegu Township and urged residents to evacuate as soon as possible.<br>Residents have been instructed to use alternative routes, and the KIA warned that anyone remaining in the area or traveling through restricted roads would do so at their own risk.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video Released of Police Officer Defecting to Resistance Forces<br>The Dragon Brothers Guerrilla Force has released footage showing the extraction of a police officer who defected from Linzin police station in Salin Township, Magway Region.<br>The officer reportedly brought a G-3 rifle, ammunition, and military equipment when he joined the resistance. The group said he received a reward of four million kyats.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SCEF Delegation Meets Myanmar Community in Vancouver<br>A delegation from the Steering Committee for the Emergence of a Federal Democratic Union (SCEF) held its final public meeting in Vancouver, Canada, on June 6.<br>The delegation included NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung, representatives from the Karenni Interim Executive Council (IEC), and the Karen National Union (KNU). Discussions focused on political and military cooperation efforts as well as updates on the federal democracy movement.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TNLA Apologizes for Namkham Explosion<br>The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has formally apologized for an explosion that occurred in Namkham\u2019s Kaung Tat Ward on May 31.<br>The group announced compensation of 10 million kyats for each person who died in the incident and said it would continue supporting medical treatment for those injured. Donations for reconstruction efforts have also exceeded 206,000 Chinese yuan and 900 million kyats.<br>\u2e3b<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NUG Warns of Heavy Rain, Flooding, and Landslides<br>The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management under the National Unity Government (NUG) has warned that many parts of Myanmar may experience heavy rainfall, strong winds, flash floods, landslides, and riverbank erosion this week.<br>The ministry said weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea could intensify monsoon activity, affecting states and regions including Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan, Karenni, Karen, Mon, Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Bago, Sagaing, Magway, and Tanintharyi.<br>These news reports were contributed by Ko Thit and Lu Lay.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello and welcome.
