From now on, we will be presenting m.CDM\u2019s domestic news.<br>Today\u2019s main stories include: an emergency evacuation notice for residents along the Salin\u2013Kanpyar road; recognition for 55 CDM staff members aged 60 in Karenni State; urgent needs for food, medicine, shelter and military support for resistance fighters on the Mobye frontline; and nearly 60 homes destroyed by junta arson in Hpakant\u2019s Hmaw Wan Lay village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residents along Salin\u2013Kanpyar road urged to evacuate within 24 hours<br>Minbu District Battalion No. 5 issued an emergency notice on May 21, urging residents from villages along the Salin\u2013Kanpyar road in Magway Region to move to safer areas within 24 hours.<br>The warning came as junta columns entered the area and clashes intensified with revolutionary forces. The battalion said the military had based itself in Myay Ni Kone village and began advancing into resistance-controlled areas from around 8:30 a.m. on May 19.<br>The battalion warned that junta troops may enter and destroy villages south of the creek and along the Salin\u2013Kanpyar road. It urged civilians to avoid the combat zone until the junta column withdraws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Karenni State honors 55 CDM staff members aged 60<br>The Karenni State Civil Servants\u2019 Civil Disobedience Movement Council said it has, for the first time, honored 55 CDM staff members who reached the age of 60 while continuing to stand against the military coup.<br>The council is also reviewing applications for a second round of recognition. It said it would continue working with CDM councils in other regions and states to provide support.<br>The council called on donors inside and outside Myanmar to contribute through NUG Pay and Spring Development Bank, saying more assistance is still needed for elderly CDM staff. It also urged CDM members to remain united and support one another.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NUG prime minister and ministers discuss strategic operations and interim governance<br>NUG Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than met with ministers and deputy ministers on May 21 to discuss strategic military operations, interim administration, and the activities of the Steering Council for Federal Democracy Union.<br>The meeting covered federal units, international relations, health, education and humanitarian affairs. Attendees included senior NUG officials from the home affairs, energy, health, education, defense and foreign affairs ministries.<br>The prime minister also held separate discussions with officials from the planning and finance ministry, the human rights ministry, the defense ministry and Spring Development Bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobye frontline fighters urgently need supplies<br>The Mobye People\u2019s Defense Force said resistance fighters serving at frontline outposts in Mobye, on the Shan-Kayah border, urgently need food, medicine, shelter and military support.<br>The group said junta and PNO allied forces have been launching major offensives to regain control of Mobye, leading to frequent clashes with local defense forces.<br>According to Mobye PDF, junta forces have repeatedly fired heavy weapons, small arms and drones indiscriminately, including attacks on displacement camps. The group also accused junta troops of stealing civilian property, burning homes and destroying religious and public buildings.<br>Mobye PDF urged civilians to stay alert to military developments and asked the public to help support frontline fighters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AA attacks junta soldiers near Nat Yey Kan; clashes continue in Kanpetlet and Hpapun<br>The Arakan Army reportedly shot at least five junta soldiers with sniper fire near the Nat Yey Kan air-defense base between Ngape Township in Magway Region and Ann Township in Rakhine State.<br>The soldiers were reportedly searching for water on May 19 after being trapped inside the base. Around 500 junta troops are said to remain there, hiding in underground tunnels during the day due to AA sniper fire.<br>Meanwhile, heavy fighting is continuing near Kanpetlet in southern Chin State after junta forces launched a major ground and air offensive from May 18. Fighting is also reported in Hpapun District, Karen State, where KNU Brigade 5 and allied forces are intercepting junta reinforcements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Junta airstrikes kill three civilians and injure nine<br>Junta forces carried out air attacks in Thayetchaung, Kyeintali, Ramree and Hpapun townships, killing three civilians and injuring at least nine others.<br>In Thayetchaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, three gyrocopters dropped bombs on two villages on May 21. A bomb hit a home in southern Uttuu village, killing three people and seriously injuring at least four.<br>In Kyeintali, southern Rakhine State, two fighter jets reportedly carried out around 10 bombing runs, injuring nine civilians and damaging homes. A monastery in Ramree Township was also attacked by suicide drones, injuring a monk and a novice. In Hpapun Township, airstrikes damaged many homes, though villagers had already fled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nearly 60 homes burned in Hpakant\u2019s Hmaw Wan Lay village<br>In Kachin State\u2019s Hpakant area, nearly 60 homes were destroyed after junta troops set fire to Hmaw Wan Lay village. Local sources said junta troops also took jade stones and cut jade pieces belonging to civilians.<br>The arson followed a May 19 drone attack by KIA and KPDF allied forces that reportedly killed four junta soldiers. Before burning the village, junta and SNA allied troops allegedly beat and interrogated about 20 residents who had stayed behind to guard homes.<br>Residents of Hmaw Wan Lay, Hmaw Wan Gyi and Hmaw Lay Aung villages have reportedly been displaced for more than a year because junta troops remain stationed there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airstrike hits Indaw PaKaFa office and detention site<br>In Sagaing Region\u2019s Indaw Township, junta fighter jets bombed a PaKaFa office and detention facility run by the NUG on May 20. Five prisoners of war and two PaKaFa members were killed.<br>Although junta troops re-entered Indaw town on April 30, they have not fully controlled the township or restored administration. Fighting continues between junta forces and KIA, PDF and ABSDF allied troops near villages between Indaw and Meza.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shwebo District Battalion urges new junta conscripts to defect<br>PDF Shwebo District Battalion No. 1 urged newly conscripted soldiers to break away from the junta military.<br>The battalion said new conscripts deployed with columns from the Northwestern Military Command are being pushed to the frontlines in Sagaing because regular junta soldiers understand the danger of landmines in the region.<br>The battalion said local people in Anyar would welcome those who defect from the military.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depayin authorities order temporary Starlink shutdown<br>Depayin Township People\u2019s Administration announced that Starlink internet services must be temporarily shut down from May 21 for military-security reasons.<br>The order applies to Starlink services used by households and service providers, except for NUG office operations. Educational use may be allowed only with permission from the education department and in designated areas.<br>Authorities warned that those who fail to comply could face action under existing laws.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yangon PaKaFa holds field meeting<br>Yangon Region PaKaFa officials held a field meeting on May 21. The regional officer discussed strengthening Yangon PaKaFa combat units, improving political and military awareness among fighters, and addressing frontline needs.<br>The group said Yangon PaKaFa forces are continuing to serve on various frontlines under the guidance of Yangon Region PaKaFa and relevant military commands.<br>These reports were submitted by Ko Thit and Lu Lay.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good day.
