Airstrikes in Hpa-an and Chaung-U Kill One Displaced Civilian; Nunery in Demoso Burned Again<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">m.CDM \u2013 May 15<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Junta airstrikes in Hpa-an Township, Karen State, and Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region reportedly killed one displaced civilian woman.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">On May 12 around 11:30 PM, junta jet fighters reportedly dropped two bombs on Mae Baw Khee Village in Hpa-an Township.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">A 19-year-old woman displaced from Baw Kyoh Lay Village in Mutraw District was reportedly killed instantly by shrapnel.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Five civilians, including children aged four and six, were injured, and three houses were damaged.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Similarly, a school in Htantawgon Village, Chaung-U Township, was reportedly attacked by a suicide drone launched from the Northwestern Regional Military Command despite no fighting occurring there.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Although there were no civilian casualties, school buildings were reportedly damaged.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">In addition, junta troops reportedly burned down a more than 60-year-old nunnery in Dawngankha Village, Demoso Township, Karenni State.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The same nunnery had previously been burned by junta troops in September 2025 and was burned again on the morning of May 13, 2026.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to the Progressive Karenni People Force (PKPF), 67 religious buildings in Karenni State and Kayan areas had been destroyed by junta actions from the time of the coup until the end of April this year.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u2e3b<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">9.
