Because we were able to firmly seize the opportunities that emerged alongside the Spring Revolution, the fruits of revolutionary victory were enjoyed not only by individual organizations, but also by all the people connected and concerned, each in their own way. Beyond these successes, however, we still need to continue working in order to achieve our broader goals.”
He also pointed out that a situation like the present one, in which the military dictatorship is being resisted on such a massive scale, may arise only once in a hundred years, and therefore must be used in the best and most effective way possible.
He warned that while organizations emerging from the Spring Revolution have strengths, they still also have weaknesses, and because the common enemy is trying to prevent revolutionary forces from making further gains, those weaknesses must be corrected as quickly as possible.
Dr. Nyo Tun Aung strongly urged:
“The opportunities we currently have are becoming fewer and fewer, so during the limited time we still have, work with all your strength, day and night, and redouble your efforts. Strive with full energy to fix your weaknesses in time.”
He also encouraged Chin revolutionary organizations, including the ICNCC, to build stronger and more cohesive unity, saying that if they work with full conviction and determination, no one will be able to stop their revolutionary resolve, and that all should join together in carrying out the tasks that require collective effort.
⸻

KNLA allied forces fully capture the Kyay Pyaung Kone outpost of the military council in the Mae Tha Waw area
m.CDM, April 13, 2026
According to ground sources, KNLA and allied forces fully captured the Kyay Pyaung Kone outpost of the terrorist military council in the Mae Tha Waw area of Hlaingbwe Township, Karen State, on the morning of April 13.
The Kyay Pyaung Kone (Pana Aw Muu Thu) outpost is said to be one of the main forward defense posts protecting the military’s Point 962 strategic hill, located along the Thai-Myanmar border in the territory of KNU Brigade 7, Hpa-An District.
KNLA and allied forces reportedly began offensive operations against the outpost during the first week of April. It is necessary to reconcile differences among ourselves, find solutions through coordination and integration, and systematically destroy the common enemy. We firmly believe that such efforts are being made, and we can clearly see them happening.”
He also warned that the terrorist military group is trying to deceive people through sham elections, a fake civilian government model, and popular-sounding rhetoric.
He pointed out that the military’s ultimate objective remains to force the country back under the 2008 Constitution and the NCA, under which the military would permanently dominate, and therefore unity among revolutionary forces is crucial.
He further said that because the military is losing ground in offensives, it has intensified inhumane acts of terror across the country, including in Chin State, especially through airstrikes. Citing AAPP figures, he said that at least 7,972 civilians have been killed due to the military’s violence.
He added that the enormous sacrifices made must not be betrayed by surrender before the aspirations of those who paid the price are fulfilled, and that although the revolutionary journey has ups and downs, the momentum of the people’s revolution has not declined and continues to move forward with force.
He also honored the Chin people at home and abroad for their energetic participation in every sector of the revolution, along with the sacrifices of Chin martyrs and heroes, and pledged that the CRPH is always ready to cooperate hand in hand so that the ICNCC’s goals can be fully achieved.
⸻

Tamu District Command orders unauthorized checkpoints and security gates to close by the end of this month
m.CDM, April 13
The Tamu District Command Office under Military Region No. 1 Headquarters issued Order Notification No. 2/2026 on April 13, directing that all unauthorized inspection and security checkpoints be closed by the end of this month.
The announcement states that no inspection or security checkpoints may be opened within Tamu District without permission from the District Command Office, and warns that all checkpoints and security gates opened without authorization must be shut down no later than April 30.
It also says that failure to comply with this order will result in effective action being taken, according to the Tamu District Commander under Military Region No. 1 Headquarters.
⸻

During Myanmar New Year Thingyan, CRPH, the United States, Canada, and the EU send greetings, saying they will continue supporting an end to the crises and the cause of democracy
m.CDM, April 13, 2026
During the Myanmar traditional New Year Thingyan period, the CRPH, along with the United States, Canada, and the European Union, issued separate messages of goodwill for the people of Myanmar, wishing them renewed strength and hope.
The CRPH prayed:
“Beginning from this Myanmar New Year season, may all ethnic peoples throughout the Union be cool and peaceful like pure, cool water;
