Starting now, we will present the <strong>domestic news from m.CDM<\/strong>.<br>The news we will present today includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A helicopter that came to rescue an injured major in <strong>Bhamo<\/strong> was attacked by the <strong>KIA<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Yaw region PDF battalions<\/strong> are participating in battles on the <strong>Kachin frontlines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some members of the <strong>SRA<\/strong> were arrested by forces under the <strong>NUG<\/strong>, and negotiations are ongoing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ambassador <strong>U Kyaw Moe Tun<\/strong> and ASEAN representatives met with the <strong>Philippine Foreign Minister<\/strong>, and the <strong>UN Security Council will hold a closed-door meeting<\/strong> on Myanmar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other related news will also be presented.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. KIA Attacks Helicopter Rescuing an Injured Major in Bhamo<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>In <strong>Bhamo, Kachin State<\/strong>, a <strong>Mi-17 helicopter<\/strong> sent to evacuate an injured major from the military council forces during a battle was attacked by a joint force led by the <strong>Kachin Independence Army (KIA)<\/strong>, according to military sources.<br>At around <strong>2 PM on March 6<\/strong>, the helicopter attempting to rescue the injured major was fired upon by <strong>KIA and allied resistance forces using heavy weapons<\/strong>.<br>During the attack, the helicopter\u2019s <strong>fuel tank was hit<\/strong>, causing thick smoke to rise. It attempted to land at <strong>Light Infantry Battalion (56) in Shwegu<\/strong>, but failed to reach the base and instead made an <strong>emergency landing outside the town<\/strong>.<br>After the incident, the military council provided air cover using <strong>Y-12 aircraft and jet fighters<\/strong>, and reportedly carried out <strong>bombing attacks<\/strong> around the area where the helicopter landed.<br>KIA spokesperson <strong>Colonel Naw Bu<\/strong> said that they had heard reports about the helicopter being shot at but were <strong>still verifying the situation on the ground<\/strong>.<br>Previously, in <strong>May 2025<\/strong>, KIA allied forces shot down <strong>three military helicopters<\/strong> sent as reinforcements to Bhamo. One crashed and another had to make an emergency landing in Shwegu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Since the <strong>2021 military coup<\/strong>, KIA forces have also shot down a <strong>FTC-2000G fighter jet<\/strong> in the <strong>Namphatka battle in northern Shan State<\/strong>, and military attack helicopters in battles around <strong>Waingmaw and Momauk<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. AA Captures a Key Outpost of the Nat Yae Kan Strategic Hill<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>The <strong>Arakan Army (AA)<\/strong> captured one of the <strong>main defensive outposts<\/strong> of the <strong>Nat Yae Kan strategic hill<\/strong>, which is located along the <strong>Rakhine\u2013Magway mountain road<\/strong>, according to local sources.<br>The attack took place during the <strong>first week of March<\/strong>, and the outpost was captured within a <strong>single day of fighting<\/strong>.<br>The military attempted to defend the base using <strong>five aircraft on March 4<\/strong>, and even after the base fell, <strong>three aircraft conducted airstrikes the following day<\/strong>, according to Lay Waddy FM citing military sources.<br>The Nat Yae Kan strategic base is an important <strong>logistics hub for operations crossing the Arakan Yoma mountains<\/strong>, which is why AA and allied forces are trying to <strong>fully capture the entire strategic hill<\/strong>.<br>Some soldiers fled toward the main strategic base, while others were <strong>captured alive<\/strong>, and weapons and ammunition were seized.<br>More than <strong>500 soldiers from Division 11<\/strong> have reportedly been deployed to defend the strategic hill. The military is also sending <strong>weapons, ammunition, and drones by air<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reports also say that <strong>conscripts stationed there frequently defect to the Arakan Army and resistance forces<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Four Soldiers Including an Officer Killed in Tanintharyi Clash<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>In <strong>Tanintharyi Township<\/strong>, resistance forces attacked soldiers stationed at a <strong>monastery in Htauk Mile Village<\/strong>, killing <strong>four soldiers including an officer<\/strong> and seizing <strong>two rifles<\/strong>, according to <strong>Myeik District Battalion 2<\/strong>.<br>The clash occurred at around <strong>3:30 PM on March 4<\/strong>, when resistance forces engaged a group of about <strong>60 soldiers<\/strong> occupying the monastery.<br>Three resistance fighters were <strong>slightly injured<\/strong>, but their injuries were not serious.<br>The following day, while resistance forces were conducting <strong>area clearance operations<\/strong>, the military reportedly attacked them with <strong>drones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The operation was carried out jointly by <strong>Myeik District Battalion 2 (Company 1)<\/strong> and <strong>Myeik District Battalion 3<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Yaw Region PDF Battalions Fighting on the Kachin Frontline<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>PDF battalions from the <strong>Yaw region<\/strong> are currently participating in battles on the <strong>Kachin frontline<\/strong>, fighting alongside allied revolutionary forces, according to a statement from the <strong>Gangaw District Military Command<\/strong>.<br>The statement said that just as PDFs joined the <strong>Operation 1027 offensive<\/strong>, Yaw region battalions are now also participating in the <strong>Kachin battlefield<\/strong>.<br>The purpose is to <strong>gain strategic military experience from experienced ethnic armed organizations (EROs)<\/strong> and later strengthen resistance efforts in their <strong>home region in central Myanmar<\/strong>.<br>Strengthening the <strong>Anyar (central Myanmar) resistance movement<\/strong> is seen as a decisive factor in the current revolution.<br>To support the frontline and strengthen the resistance in the Anyar region, a <strong>fundraising campaign called \u201cMarch Forward Together\u201d<\/strong> aiming to raise <strong>500 million kyats<\/strong> has been launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporters can contribute by purchasing <strong>raffle tickets or commemorative certificates<\/strong>, depending on the country they are in.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Landmine Attack on Military Convoy on Chaung-U \u2013 Monywa Road<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>Resistance forces attacked a military convoy transporting <strong>ammunition, supplies, and acid tank trucks<\/strong> on the <strong>Chaung-U \u2013 Monywa road<\/strong> using <strong>improvised landmines<\/strong>, according to a video released by the <strong>Area71LPDF Monywa Mine Unit<\/strong>.<br>The convoy, consisting of <strong>58 vehicles<\/strong>, was traveling from <strong>Division 33 headquarters in Sagaing<\/strong> toward the <strong>Northwestern Regional Military Command in Monywa<\/strong>, escorting supply trucks.<br>At around <strong>7 PM<\/strong>, the fourth vehicle in the convoy was hit by <strong>four improvised mines<\/strong>.<br>During the attack, soldiers guarding the convoy fired heavily with <strong>0.5 caliber machine guns, 40mm weapons, and small arms<\/strong>, but the resistance fighters <strong>withdrew safely without casualties<\/strong>.<br>Due to the night operation and heavy firing from the military, <strong>casualty information on the military side remains unknown<\/strong>.<br>The attack was carried out jointly by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Area71LPDF Monywa<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Taw Kywe Gyi Guerrilla Force<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">* <strong>Golden Peacock Attack Force<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Some SRA Members Arrested by NUG-Affiliated Forces<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>Some officers and members of groups under the <strong>Spring Revolution Alliance (SRA)<\/strong> have been arrested by <strong>PDF and PaKaPha forces under the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>.<br>At around <strong>10 AM on March 6<\/strong>, five members including an officer from the <strong>National Liberation Army (NLA)<\/strong> were arrested at a <strong>PDF checkpoint<\/strong>.<br>The arrests were reportedly conducted under orders from <strong>Military Region No.1<\/strong>, but the location where the detainees were taken remains unknown.<br>Earlier on <strong>March 3<\/strong>, four members of the <strong>Student Armed Force (SAF)<\/strong> were also arrested by local defense forces in western Magway, though they were later released.<br>SRA spokesperson <strong>Ko Min Han Htet<\/strong> said negotiations with NUG officials are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SRA was formed on <strong>November 23, 2025<\/strong>, with <strong>19 armed groups<\/strong>, including <strong>KNDF, BPLA, SAF, and NLA<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Training Program for PDF Instructors<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>The <strong>NUG Ministry of Defense<\/strong> held a <strong>Training of Trainers program<\/strong> to strengthen the training capacity of the <strong>People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>.<br>The course lasted <strong>three weeks in February 2026<\/strong> and was conducted in an NUG-controlled area.<br>More than <strong>100 training instructors from different regions<\/strong> attended.<br>Subjects included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Military doctrine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Battlefield psychology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil-military relations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cyber security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operational procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Military law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychological operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic politics and Myanmar political history<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The goal is to strengthen the <strong>training system for the development of the PDF army<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Civilian Casualties from Military Attacks<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>Military attacks in <strong>KNU-controlled Kler Lwee Htoo District (Bago Region)<\/strong> and <strong>Kawlin Township in Sagaing Region<\/strong> killed <strong>two civilians<\/strong> and injured <strong>seven others<\/strong>.<br>In <strong>Nat Laung Lay Village<\/strong>, two civilians were injured after the military dropped <strong>two drone bombs<\/strong> on March 4.<br>Another civilian was injured after stepping on a <strong>landmine planted by the military<\/strong>.<br>On <strong>March 5<\/strong>, artillery fired by <strong>Light Infantry Battalion 264<\/strong> into <strong>Inn Pari village<\/strong> injured two more civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In <strong>Kawlin Township<\/strong>, a <strong>fighter jet from Magway Air Base<\/strong> bombed areas near <strong>Kachin Kone Village four times<\/strong>, killing <strong>two displaced women<\/strong> and severely injuring two others.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Tamu District Command Provides Vehicle to Battalion<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>The <strong>Tamu District Command under NUG Military Region 1<\/strong> donated a <strong>vehicle<\/strong> to <strong>Tamu District Battalion 2<\/strong> for logistics and operational use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The battalion thanked the command for the support and pledged to continue improving <strong>combat, administrative, and organizational capacity<\/strong> until the goals of the revolution are achieved.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun Meets Philippine Foreign Minister<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 March 6<\/strong><br>Myanmar\u2019s <strong>UN Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun<\/strong> and ASEAN ambassadors met with <strong>Philippine Foreign Minister Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro<\/strong> in <strong>New York<\/strong>.<br>Discussions included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ASEAN priorities for 2026 (with the Philippines as chair)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Myanmar crisis resolution efforts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South China Sea issues<br>The <strong>UN Security Council<\/strong> is also scheduled to hold a <strong>closed-door meeting on Myanmar on March 6 (US time)<\/strong>.<br>The meeting was requested by the <strong>United Kingdom<\/strong>.<br>Briefings will be presented by:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Julie Bishop<\/strong>, UN Special Envoy for Myanmar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ma. Theresa Lazaro<\/strong>, ASEAN Special Envoy<br>This will be the <strong>first Security Council meeting on Myanmar after the junta\u2019s staged election<\/strong>.<br>The <strong>UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR)<\/strong> has described the election as <strong>illegitimate<\/strong>, while <strong>China and Russia supported it<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Western countries, including the UK, say the election <strong>does not resolve Myanmar\u2019s crisis<\/strong>, and they are urging stronger UN Security Council action.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>11. Swiss Embassy says it expects the Myanmar military to release all those arbitrarily detained without exception<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><em>m.CDM, March 6<\/em><br>The Swiss Embassy has stated that it expects the Myanmar military to release <strong>all individuals who have been arbitrarily detained without exception<\/strong>.<br>The statement was issued by the embassy on <strong>March 5<\/strong>, in response to the military authorities granting <strong>amnesty and releasing some detainees on March 2<\/strong>.<br>According to the statement, the Swiss Embassy welcomed the release of a number of <strong>wrongfully detained individuals, including prominent political figures<\/strong>, under the amnesty order on March 2, as well as the <strong>closure of some cases that were still under trial under the Counter-Terrorism Law<\/strong>.<br>The embassy added that these positive steps could help <strong>build trust<\/strong> and should be followed by further measures to create conditions supportive of <strong>an inclusive political dialogue process in Myanmar<\/strong>.<br>Such measures include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>unconditional release of all remaining arbitrarily detained persons<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>cessation of attacks and violence<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allowing <strong>unhindered humanitarian access<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fully respecting <strong>international humanitarian law and human rights law<\/strong><br>The Swiss Embassy expressed hope that additional steps would be taken to create these conditions.<br>The news presented today was reported by <strong>Ko Thit and Lu Lay<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello.
