    1.Military Junta\u2019s Violent Acts Damage Churches and Homes in Falam, Kawlin, Lay Doh, and Moo Townships; 3 Civilians Killed, 6 Injured**
    m.CDM \u2013 January 23<\/strong>
    Between January 20 and 22, the military junta carried out airstrikes, artillery shelling, drone attacks, and gyrocopter attacks<\/strong> in Falam Township, Kawlin Township, Lay Doh Township, and Moo Township. As a result, churches and civilian homes were destroyed<\/strong>, 3 civilians were killed<\/strong>, and 6 others were injured<\/strong>, according to reports.
    On January 22, the military junta conducted an airstrike on Khuangli Village in Falam Township<\/strong>, damaging a monastery, a church, and residential houses.
    Although there were no civilian casualties, most villagers fled to safer areas due to fears of continued air attacks by the military junta.
    Similarly, on January 22 at around 5:15 p.m.<\/strong>, a fighter jet from Magway Air Base<\/strong> carried out an airstrike on an eastern area of Kawlin Township, damaging several civilian houses. No civilians were injured, according to a statement by Kawlin Revolution (KR)<\/strong>.

    On January 21 at 12:50 p.m.<\/strong>, two 120mm artillery shells<\/strong> fired from the Pyin Nwe Kone military base<\/strong> struck Zarap Khin Village<\/strong>, injuring Daw Thida San (35 years old)<\/strong>.
    On January 20 at 11:30 a.m.<\/strong>, a drone bomb<\/strong> launched from the Ma Nae Kwin military base<\/strong> hit Kap Gyi Seik Village<\/strong>, killing U Mae Lone (54)<\/strong> and Kyaw Min Htet (28)<\/strong> instantly, and injuring Ko Min Khant (13)<\/strong> and May Kabyar (24)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2.Military Bombs Funeral Prayer Ceremony in Kaung Ja Village, Bhamo Township; Around 20 Displaced Civilians Killed, About 40 Injured**

    In Kaung Ja Village, Bhamo Township, Kachin State<\/strong>, where fighting has intensified, the military junta bombed a funeral prayer ceremony<\/strong>, killing around 20 internally displaced civilians<\/strong> and injuring approximately 40 others<\/strong>, according to local sources.
    The attack occurred on January 22 at around 4:00 p.m.<\/strong>, when the military carried out two airstrikes using a fighter jet<\/strong> while displaced civilians were praying for the deceased.
    Kaung Ja Village, also known as Htee Hlin<\/strong>, is located on the bank of the Irrawaddy River<\/strong> and has been serving as a shelter for displaced people from Bhamo town.
    Although fighting has occurred in Bhamo town, there were no clashes near Kaung Ja Village<\/strong>, and local military sources stated that the airstrike was a deliberate attack targeting civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Aid workers assisting displaced people warned that the death toll may rise further, as many of the injured are in critical condition.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Air Attacks on Sein Kone and Min Kone Villages in Kani Township Kill 1 Civilian and Injure 2**

      In Kani Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, the military junta conducted gyrocopter air attacks<\/strong> on Sein Kone Village<\/strong> and Min Kone Village<\/strong>, killing one civilian<\/strong> and injuring two others<\/strong>, according to local residents.
      The attacks occurred on January 22<\/strong>, from around 7:00 a.m. until after 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, targeting civilian villages and IDP shelters despite the absence of any clashes.
      At around 4:00 p.m.<\/strong>, an air attack damaged three civilian houses in Min Kone Village<\/strong>, injuring a 71-year-old elderly man<\/strong>, according to an aid worker assisting displaced people.
      Later, at around 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, two additional airstrikes on Sein Kone Village<\/strong> killed a 37-year-old woman<\/strong> and injured a 78-year-old elderly woman<\/strong>.
      The attacks occurred as the military junta was preparing to hold its sham election<\/strong> in Kani Township on January 25<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      As non-CDM staff and junta supporters are expected to travel to Kani Township by river to vote, the Kani Township Emergency Administration Committee<\/strong> announced a temporary closure of the Chindwin River to travel from January 16 to January 27<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      4.8 CDM Railway Workers Arrested, Beaten, Interrogated, and Detained by PDF Group in Nabar Village, Indaw Township**
      m.CDM \u2013 January 23<\/strong>
      In Nabar Village, Indaw Township<\/strong>, 8 railway medics and workers participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM)<\/strong> were arrested, beaten, interrogated, and placed under detention by the Indaw East Township People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> at around 5:00 p.m. on January 17<\/strong>, according to KachinWaves Media<\/strong>.
      According to local residents, the arrests were made after photos of Nabar Village appeared on junta propaganda Telegram channels<\/strong>, leading to suspicions of a security information leak.
      One railway medic reportedly argued verbally with PDF members and was punched in the face<\/strong>. Another CDM worker named Kyaw Swar Win<\/strong> was allegedly beaten severely<\/strong>.
      The detainees were interrogated and beaten for approximately four hours<\/strong> inside a house in the village before being released at around 9:00 p.m.<\/strong>, but their phones were confiscated<\/strong>, and they remain under detention restrictions<\/strong>.
      During the arrest, a 13-year-old boy<\/strong>, the son of one medic, was beaten by a PDF township leader<\/strong>, leaving bruising around his eye.
      An official from the Indaw Township People\u2019s Administration<\/strong> said they were unaware of the incident but would investigate and take action if it constituted a human rights violation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      On the same day, PDF, PLA, and PA groups also dismantled privately owned Starlink internet equipment<\/strong> in Nabar Village.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      5.Attack on Fixed Military Checkpoint in Sagaing Township Kills 5 Junta Soldiers**

      An attack on a fixed military checkpoint<\/strong> in Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, resulted in the deaths of 5 junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to a video statement released by the Mada Yar Township People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>.
      The checkpoint was located in Kyaing Gyi Village<\/strong>, where the military was permanently stationed. The attack was carried out on January 20<\/strong> by Mada Yar Township PDF and local resistance forces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The clash lasted nearly 30 minutes<\/strong>, during which 5 junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>, and several others were injured. Resistance forces reported no casualties on their side<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      6.Landmine Attack on Military Vehicle in Kalay Township Kills 3 Soldiers, Injures Many**

      In Kalay Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, a military vehicle<\/strong> was targeted in a landmine attack<\/strong>, killing 3 junta soldiers<\/strong> and injuring many others, according to a statement released by the Kalay UG force<\/strong> on January 23.
      The attack occurred on January 21 at around 2:45 p.m.<\/strong>, when a military vehicle transporting reinforcements from Kalay town to southern Kalay was struck by three landmines<\/strong> between Tharsi Village and the checkpoint<\/strong>.
      Eyewitnesses and reliable sources confirmed that three soldiers on board were killed<\/strong>, and many others were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      After the attack, military troops flooded Kalay town, conducted roadblocks at Ywar Soe Bridge<\/strong>, and reportedly beat, interrogated, and arrested civilians<\/strong> living near the explosion site.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        The video shows an armored vehicle fitted with improvised overhead armor<\/strong>, the drone\u2019s flight, and an explosion. However, the original Facebook account that posted the video lacks credibility, making it difficult to confirm the exact time and location<\/strong>.
