Starting today, we will be providing regular updates of domestic news from m.CDM.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>1. Along the Myingyan\u2013Pakokku corridor, junta Commission troops arrest and execute civilians, torch homes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Upper Myanmar Joint Forces (Ta\u2019Pone Su) reported that junta Commission troops conducting sweeps through areas between Myingyan Township and Pakokku Township, Magway Region, have arrested and executed civilians and burned down homes.<\/p>\n<p>On the morning of December 13, a column of about 150 junta Commission soldiers advanced from Kanthit Village in Myingyan Township toward Kamma Town in Pakokku Township.<\/p>\n<p>The column reportedly departed from Pakokku-based Infantry Battalion 101 and moved through both townships, arresting civilians, executing an unspecified number of people, and torching homes along the route.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the column fired heavy weapons from the Kamma police station area, killing an elderly man and injuring a woman.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the column\u2019s activities, residents from at least five villages in Myingyan, Pakokku, and Kamma areas have fled to safety.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>2. In Bilin Township, junta column fires heavy weapons: 2 civilians killed; 3 villagers from Alu Gyi captured and executed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Bilin Township, Mon State, junta troops conducting a sweep fired heavy weapons toward Phowathein Village on the afternoon of December 12, killing two civilians, according to local reports.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>U Kyi Lwin, age 53, from Phowathein Village<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>U Maung Lone, age 50, from Shan Su Village<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both were riding a motorcycle when they were struck and killed by heavy artillery shells.<\/p>\n<p>The same junta column raided Thabyenyi and Alu Gyi villages, where they captured three civilians from Alu Gyi and hacked them to death, according to residents.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, the junta column remains stationed in Phowathein, Alu Gyi, Shan Su and nearby villages. Many residents have fled, and most of the bodies of the deceased have not yet been retrieved.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>3. In KKO-administered Kawthoolei territory, junta airstrikes and shelling kill one monk and three civilians; monastery and homes damaged<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The KNU Central Headquarters reported that junta forces carried out airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks on villages in Kawthoolei Administrative Territory, Hpapun District (Khalel Htut District), Ledo Township, killing one monk and three civilians and damaging a monastery and multiple homes.<\/p>\n<p>On December 11, the junta dropped a 500-lb bomb from a jet fighter on Lein Pin Village in Ledo Township. The explosion killed a 46-year-old man and destroyed three houses, two tractors, and a general-goods shop worth around 600,000 kyats. Six cattle were also killed.<\/p>\n<p>Junta troops stationed at Nattankan outpost fired three 120mm shells into Shwe Kheh Su Village, killing a 47-year-old woman and destroying three houses, a cattle shed, and a trolley tractor; one cow was killed and another injured.<\/p>\n<p>On December 8, junta soldiers stationed at Nattankan also used drones to drop explosives twice on the eastern bank of Kyauksarit Village, destroying the village clinic.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day, junta troops dropped bombs from a helicopter onto a monastery in the western bank area of Kyauksarit Village. The attack killed 78-year-old monk U Zin U Zandima and a 76-year-old woman, and injured 13-year-old Maung Ne Zaw Aung.<\/p>\n<p>The KNU condemned the junta\u2019s inhumane violence, noting that countless innocent civilians have lost lives, property, and homes, and many have been forced to flee.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>4. Gyrocopter crash at Northwest Regional Military Command in Monywa kills 2 junta soldiers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A gyrocopter used for test flights crashed at the Northwest Regional Military Command compound in Monywa, Sagaing Region, at around 5:40 PM on December 13, killing two junta soldiers who were piloting the aircraft, according to local revolutionary sources.<\/p>\n<p>Three gyrocopters recently arrived from the Shante Air Base in Meiktila. One crashed during testing due to mechanical failure, reports said.<\/p>\n<p>Large numbers of junta troops immediately secured and cleared the crash site, preventing photos from being taken.<\/p>\n<p>Up to five gyrocopters are currently stationed at Monywa Airport, and three units arrived from Shante as recently as December 12.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>5. UN IIMM requests information on junta airstrike on Kyaukphyu Public Hospital<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UN Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM) has requested information related to the junta\u2019s airstrike on Kyaukphyu District Public Hospital in Mrauk-U, Rakhine State.<\/p>\n<p>The 300-bed hospital, filled with patients at the time, was bombed by the junta on December 10, killing at least 30 people and injuring around 70.<\/p>\n<p>Under international law, hospitals and medical facilities are protected civilian sites and must not be attacked. The protection extends to patients, medical staff, and all others present. The IIMM warned that deliberately targeting protected persons or facilities\u2014or attacking without distinction\u2014constitutes a violation of international law and may amount to a war crime.<\/p>\n<p>The Mrauk-U hospital attack is considered one of the deadliest airstrikes on a healthcare facility since the junta\u2019s 2021 coup.<\/p>\n<p>The IIMM is calling for testimony and evidence from survivors, patients, caregivers, healthcare workers, witnesses, and organizations. They are seeking casualty lists, photos, videos, drone footage, and documentation showing damage to the hospital and surrounding structures.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>6. UN spokesperson Farhan Haq: Airstrike on Rakhine hospital shows worsening conditions for Myanmar civilians<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq stated that the junta\u2019s airstrike on a hospital in Rakhine State clearly demonstrates that the situation facing Myanmar\u2019s civilians continues to deteriorate.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the UN noon briefing on December 12, Haq emphasized that recent events\u2014including the hospital bombing\u2014highlight the escalating dangers confronting the population.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated the UN Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres\u2019 call for an immediate end to the junta\u2019s violence and human rights abuses since the 2021 coup.<\/p>\n<p>Haq also noted serious concerns about the junta\u2019s plan to hold elections amid widespread violence and repression, stressing that people cannot freely exercise political rights in such circumstances.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>7. KNU strongly condemns Mrauk-U hospital airstrike as a war crime<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The KNU issued a statement strongly condemning the junta\u2019s December 10 airstrike on Mrauk-U Public Hospital, which killed 34 civilians and injured more than 60.<\/p>\n<p>The KNU said targeting essential civilian infrastructure such as a public hospital constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and should be classified as a war crime against innocent civilians.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also noted that on the same day as the hospital attack, junta air and artillery strikes in Kawthoolei territory killed two civilians and destroyed homes and civilian property.<\/p>\n<p>The KNU urged the international community to take effective action to halt the junta\u2019s atrocities and to ensure accountability. It also called for urgent protections and justice for affected civilians.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>8. AA warns civilians in Rakhine to be alert for air attacks as junta launches rockets and cluster munitions on AA-controlled towns<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>m.CDM \u2013 December 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Arakan Army (AA) has urged civilians in AA-controlled towns across Rakhine State to remain on high alert, as the junta continues to fire rockets and cluster munitions and conduct repeated airstrikes.<\/p>\n<p>In the early hours of December 13, the junta carried out a series of air attacks. Earlier, around midnight, junta aircraft bombed a village in Ponngan Island Township and dropped additional bombs near Taung Pauk Village.<\/p>\n<p>The AA reported that junta forces also bombed Ye Pyauk Hson Village in Rathedaung Township around midnight. A jet fighter dropped a bomb on Ponngan Island\u2019s Taung Pauk area as well.<\/p>\n<p>The AA said it will provide further updates on casualties and injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Between 9 PM on December 12 and early morning December 13, junta aircraft carried out additional airstrikes around:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Hkamaung Taw and Wah Bo villages (Ponngan Island Township),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Saikhon Village (Pauktaw Township),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the vicinity of Police Battalion 31 (Mrauk-U Township),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Museikyun area and Ye Pyauk Hson area (Rathedaung Township).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On December 10, the junta bombed Mrauk-U Public Hospital, killing at least 33 people\u2014including infants\u2014and injuring 76 more.<\/p>\n<p>On the night of December 11, junta aircraft bombed Upper and Lower Ngayon Su villages in Kyaukphyu Township, killing 8 civilians and injuring 10.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s reports were contributed by Ko Thit , Lulay and\u00a0 Khurl Shell.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>14-12-2025 (m.CDM Myanmar Domestic News) Hello everyone.
