1. Junta drone-bombs village in Hpakant\u2019s Malawng: 3 family members killed, only an infant survives<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In Hpakant Township, Kachin State, the military council forces carried out a drone bombing on Malawng village in Lonkhin village tract, killing three members of one family and leaving only a months-old baby alive, according to local residents.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
At about 10:50 p.m. on December 7, with no fighting taking place at the time, two bombs were dropped by drone. One bomb fell directly on the home of a man named U Zaw Lwin Oo, they said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
As a result of the explosion, U Zaw Lwin Oo (35), Daw Tin Moe Hlaing (38), and their son Phyo Wai Htune (13) were killed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Although the family members were killed, their 7-month-old baby survived without injury. Two houses were damaged in the attack, according to reports.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In addition, around midnight, a drone attack was also carried out on Myauk Phyu Monastery in Aye Mya Thaya village tract, Hpakant Township, damaging the alms-hall and injuring one civilian.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On the border between Phekhon and Pinlaung Townships in southern Shan State, heavy clashes broke out on December 6 when junta forces and a joint force including the PNO\u2019s People\u2019s Militia launched a major offensive, and resistance forces counterattacked.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
As a result, 9 junta soldiers, including an officer with the rank of captain, were killed and 2 more were captured alive, according to frontline sources.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Weapons and ammunition seized included one G3 (or similar long rifle) and one RPG launcher, along with various other munitions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It is reported that the attacking junta unit has been using newly conscripted youths\u2014Intha, Shan, and Pa-O young men forcibly recruited from the southern Inle Lake area\u2014as expendable frontline troops, and that they are beaten and tortured if they refuse to obey orders.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

### 3. Junta gyro-helicopter attacks in Kyaukkyi and Kyauktaga, Bago Region: elderly woman killed, monk and child injured<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On December 8, around 11 a.m., junta forces used gyro-helicopters (small military choppers) to bomb areas in Kyaukkyi and Kyauktaga Townships, Bago Region, without any fighting taking place at the time.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

An elderly woman, Daw Sein Myint (age 75), was killed, and one monk and a 12-year-old boy named Maung Ne Zaw Aung were injured, according to an official from Taungoo District 3502.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
One bomb fell in Kyauksarit village, Kyauktaga Township, destroying the monastery building and killing Daw Sein Myint. In Kyaukkyi Township\u2019s Kyauksarit village (another part of the village area), homes and a clinic were damaged as well. Because residents received advance warning, no further casualties occurred there.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

### 4. Four junta soldiers killed in ambush on column that had previously killed two civilians in Minbu (Saku)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In Minbu District\u2019s Minbu (Saku) Township, a junta column that had previously shot and killed two civilians without cause was ambushed by resistance forces, leaving four soldiers dead, according to an announcement by Minbu District Battalion (6).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The attack took place on December 5 at around 1:30 p.m. near Kuttin Kone village, when fighters from Minbu District Battalion (6) intercepted and ambushed the column.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
During the clash, four junta soldiers were killed and many others, including a senior sergeant, were wounded, the statement said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
On December 6, when the same column reached the Letpataw police outpost, Minbu District Battalions (6) and (4), Minbu People\u2019s Defense Forces (PDF \u2013 Pa Ka Pha), and allied groups carried out a drone attack, dropping six bombs, reportedly injuring four more junta soldiers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It is learned that the column had begun moving with about 120 troops from Khankone village in western Saku on December 3, advancing in the direction of Shwezidaung Pagoda.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The column had previously shot dead a man in his 40s from Shwegyaung village on December 4 and another man in his 50s from Ku village on December 5, both without cause, according to reports.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Additionally, on December 4 a youth from Shwegyaung village was arrested, and on December 5 artillery and small arms were fired into Kuttin Kone village and two civilians were taken away.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

### 5. Travel restricted on Myeik\u2013Kawthaung Union Highway due to intensifying military operations<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The People\u2019s Defense Forces (Pa Ka Pha) of Myeik District, Tanintharyi Region, have announced travel restrictions on the Myeik\u2013Kawthaung section of the Union Highway due to expected intensification of military operations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Starting from December 8, the public is advised not to travel at all on the Union Highway between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In emergency cases, travelers are asked to contact the relevant resistance organizations in advance and obtain permission, and if travel is absolutely necessary, they are requested to drive with vehicle lights off as much as possible, according to the statement.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The announcement says that the time when normal travel can resume will be notified later, and urges the public to cooperate with and follow the instructions of Myeik District Pa Ka Pha.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
